"I DINED IN ON A THURSDAY EVENING. THE TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE WAS ABOUT 35 DEGREES RESTAURANT ATMOSPHERE WAS PLAIN AND BORING AND DIMLY LIT, MUCH LIKE THE ELDERLY PATRONS THAT SEEM TO FLOCK TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT I ORDERED PANCAKES, AS THAT IS THE ONLY FOOD THAT MATTERS. "Blah ..... I really do not understand what people see in this place. First, the service is fine, but really not great. I ordered what the waitress named "that's what we are famous" - the Italian steak sandwich. It was the bandestest, hardest piece of "meat" I have ever eaten. Is dry on really good bread (more on a little more) served with a few fried peppers and a kind of cheese. I took a few bite and asked the waitress for some sauce because it honestly did not have a taste. She brought some sauce that I dived into the sandwich. This sauce is not very aromatic either. The best part of the meal was the salad - the association is very good - sweet red wine-vinager dressing. <br>

On the bread - the bread is served by Orsis. There was a piece of her twistbrot with the salad yum, and then the role for the sandwich was really fresh and tough - just perfect. <br>

"Comfort food that I give an A. The chicken is great. Like grandma use to make. Chicken fried steak good too. The brown gravy that comes with the mash potatoes is so good it would even be good on an old shoe. Well not really but, its just that good. The salad bar was not good and the wood floor for some reason was very slippery. I don't know if was from a cleaner they use or if it was grease."

"OK, so there was a "glitch" on our first-ever visit to Andre's. The host seated us promptly on arrival and we were given menus. And there we sat. For nearly 25 minutes, watching everyone who arrived after us receive their service, and even their meals. Finally, we left and on the way out made a comment to the "host" about how upset we were at the lack of attentive service. It turns out the "host" was the owner. He begged us to stay and give them a second chance. After a short discussion with my date, we relented and sat back down. The service for the rest of the evening was exemplary. The food, once we had a chance to order, arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The plates were very attractively presented, and the food, in my opinion, was superb. I had the potato/onion enchilada, my date had the fish taco platter. The chips in the appetizer were freshly made and very warm. The dipping salsa was flavorful and not overly spicy. The owner again apologized profusely and comped our bill. If not for the initial lack of service, our first visit would have resulted in a 4.5 star rating. Nonetheless, I think we will return for a second visit."

"I love this supermarket in South Omaha. <br/>All pre made food is in the back of the store. Step in line.<br/>It's been about four months since I stopped in to get my usual order of tamales.<br/>This place accepts CASH ONLY!!<br br/>I generally buy a dozen of tamales. The meat to masa ratio is usually equal. Lately, it's been little meat with a lot of masa. <br/>If you don't care for the tamales you can buy their pre made masa and make your own.<br/>Carnitas are awesome and great for a party. Don't forget to grab your tortillas they make daily.<br/>Beans and rice are good. <br/>Their mild salsa they make in house is the number one seller. Who knew canned tomatoes can make their salsa taste so fresh. Extra Extra garlic please.<br/>Corn chips are made fresh daily. <br/>This place is worth a try. <br"
