"Great country pub, stopped off when doing the Gavin Stacey tour. It was lovely pit stop for the 30 mins enjoy strongbow cider, which I never had before. Anyways I enjoyed it lovely scenery and we saw a few horses as well, which was great."

"The worst Wetherspoons I’ve ever visited!! Ordered large Cod Chips. What arrived was the most shrivelled up smallest portion of overcooked cod I have ever seen. Black bits on chips. The waitress took the plate back to chef only for it to return saying ‘this is the large portion’. Wouldn’t have minded so much if I had paid for the small portion. Left wondering what size fish is the small portion! I have ordered small portions of cod before in other Wetherspoons which were much better cooked and larger than this. Tasted awful. This is the problem when you pay for food before it arrives. Never again!"

"Visiting Barry for my wife’s birthday and booked evening meal for when we got to the hotel. You always expect an ‘OK’ level of service from a large chain. Not the case here. All staff were genuinely friendly and happy while providing efficient and prompt service. All members of staff were so good and looked like they enjoyed their jobs. They even dealt with a awkward customer next to us (complaining about a missing grilled tomato! Which A is gross anyway and B calm down it’s a tomato! with empathy and understanding. What a lovely experience. All great again for breakfast in the morning and when we popped in for a cheeky pint. Well worth a visit. Thank you."

"Immersed for coffee with the missus during the city. I wish they would bring back the salted caramel latte. I'm not all that is impressed by the salted caramel cappuccino, it just doesn't work. I had the jobread latte and she had an americano (not very adventurous) with some brown toast"
