"We were staying in the nearby K+K hotel, and as this place was listed as the spot for breakfast in Bucharest we decided to check it out. After a short walk and a little searching we found Simbio on a side street in a residential area. At first we were a bit put off by the attitude of the staff, and almost walked out again... Upon entering we were brusquely told there was no room and we could "try" downstairs. Downstairs (i.e. the basement, no windows) the staff was just as cheerful, but we got a table anyway after promising we'd be out by 11:30 to make room for the reservations. Sunday is peak brunch time for the Bucharesti hipster crowd it seems... So we quickly chose something of the menu (it took them a while to come and take our order considering they wanted us out of the way fast) that neither of us had tried before: poached eggs benedict and florentine. I had some home-made lemonade drink on the side as well. Our orders did come out fast, and our waiter gradually became less grumpy with each interaction. The food was REALLY good. We both loved the poached eggs and the veggies. We even considered going back there the next day, but the thought of having to go through that unwelcoming staff again held us back. Too bad, now that I've "discovered" eggs florentine I want them again, I hope they'll be as good as they were in Simbio."

"There are several restaurants with this name in Bucharest and they are all serving a mix of Italian/Mediterranean food. I am Italian and I prefer to eat in Italy but all together this restaurant is OK if You don't pretend to get the best Italian food; I have to say that in many other European countries Italian restaurants are quite similar. The service is good, the prices are OK and the location is also fine."

"I went here for lunch a couple of weeks ago. This is a new concept from Ana Pan and I was very familiar with their products so I said I should give this a try. I ordered a celery soup and a Caprese sandwich. the food was good, but I had to wait a little for the soup. the staff was polite but could pay a little more attention to their customers. I will go again to try the egg sandwich. You should visit if you like cookies/cake/sweets or pastry. they have an extensive offer."

"My wife and I had dinner hear at the suggestion of the person who guided our 10 person trip around Romania over the previous ten days. I felt a little under dressed. However, the staff made us feel like royalty and the food was amazing....I had just an appetizer and desert. My wife had a a main course. We had great luck with the wine list. Overall a treat."

"Came here for breakfast. All three of us enjoyed our meals. Fresh fruit over French toast fresh fruit over pancakes. Large portions. Good coffee. Reasonable prices. Nice atmosphere. Great location."
