"We stayed for one night as we were visiting a festival on the Kelmarsh Estate, just a few minutes drive away. Our room was spotless with an ensuite loo and shower. There was also tea and coffee. We thought we'd try the pubs evening meal menu. My partner had the garlic mushrooms starter and Chicken Schitznel main course and I had battered halloumi and the sea bass main. Both were well cooked and delicious. We had a friendly waitress as well. Our meals were excellent value for money. We booked breakfast the next morning at 15 pounds each, so after a goodnights sleep went to the pubs dining area. My partner had a full English and I asked for a mushroom omelette with bacon. There was one slice of white toast on each of the plates. Cereals were on offer but no fruit juices. We both thought that 15 pounds was a lot to pay for each breakfast. Perhaps 10 pounds would have been more realistic considering our evening meals which were much better value. All in all, a lovely place to stay and we would like to visit again, as we were told there is good walking around the area. Thank you"

"It is the best friendly coffee shop in northampton. I've been on regular trips for 7 years. the personal is always welcoming and there is a friendly atmosphere of the most recent customers the oldest. the torts and foods are all freshly produced and sold at a reasonable price. the caffe lies in the heart of the Brixworth community and is voluntarily managed by the friends of the Brixworth Church. a very big scream to our favorite employee member- allan- their biggest!"

"The food was good but at least 6 of our party (group of 18) were overcharged! The owner was irritated and rude when we had to wait for latecomers. Food was a very long time after they arrived. Will not be going again."

"Hadn’t visited this pub for a very long time. Was lovely to return, beautiful inside a fab courtyard outside. The owners were extremely friendly chatty. They couldn’t do enough for us. Lunch was amazing, food so good couldn’t fault it. So, very sad to hear the owners are moving on the pub will be closing from this weekend. Such a loss to the village. We would definitely have returned if able to. We wish the family all the best for their next venture."

"The breaded camembert is all I ever need. That and the bacon, brie and red onion chutney Since I have visited the UK I have eaten nothing but lamb and cheese. So happy I found this local gem while visiting the UK. Brilliant !"
