"Best coffee in Emerald, a little off the beaten track, but what a good find! Better coffee and customer service than anywhere else in town. Pete also knows his locals very well. Sweet treats from the cabinet were lovely and we returned for a second visit to try the bagels top shelf! Would definitely recommend when stopping in at Emerald."

"Have reviewed this place before, but this time I ordered Scones with jam and cream. I was faced with two tall cake like structures. When I queried the staff, I was told they were made like that in "Middle England". I assume they mean the midlands. I've never been served anything resembling this anywhere in the UK. They just weren't scones as I expect them, no crunchy exterior, and they were a bit doughy. Order something else!!!"

"Honestly, the personal felt sorry. he shook and shook his head at his personal because he didn't help us even though they were with others. we even heard him overheard, some wild inappropriate “jokes” to other customers “do not trust the...French” say “bloody sri lankans everywhere”. he told us we should go somewhere else for vegan food. his employees were very nice to make accommodation and adjustments for us. almost everything we demanded was a bit disappointing. we land in the Olinda café, which was so much more beautiful."

"Apart from its convenience for me, the restaurant offers a relaxed dining environment. I've never had a problem with staff, they've always been friendly and attentive. The menu is not extensive but offers a good selection often incorporating local and seasonal items. I've had no problem finding a wine to complement my meals."

"Yes, I'm a big city coffee snob. But when travelling in regional places I am more than happy to expect something less that Seven Seeds. I had had no great expectations of Emerald. And generally this lower expectation has been met, but sometimes not met, and rarely exceeded. Staying at the Emerald Executive Apartments, which is in fact located in a shopping mall car park, I did not expect the best coffee in town to come from a shop located in the mall. But the strangely named, Luv-a-Coffee, was a pleasant surprise. Opened from 7am every day it has, as far as I can tell, having now tasted coffee from just about every place in town, makes the best coffee in town. I also ordered poached eggs on toast, which came perfectly cooked on Turkish bread, crisply toasted. Simple, but perfect eggs, trump everything! So, forget the main street cafes, and head to the mall for Emerald's best coffee -- and breakfast!"
