"My experiences at Fireside are usually very good. The food is usually good and a good variety to choose from. Last night was not great. It was hot because the AC wasn't working and I know that wasn't their fault but it did add to the overall experience. There were also a lot of, what appeared to be, fruit flies flying around us and our food and landing on our glassware.Also, I know quality employees are difficult to come by these days. That's evident almost everywhere I go. Usually though, there is someone capable to keep things organized and moving in the right direction. There was no one there tonight in that role. The busser was standing around behind the bar waiting to clear tables while we were waiting for ice water at our very warm table. Each phase of the service (drinks, order, refills, food and check) was slow, especially considering there were two servers and only 6-7 tables the entire time we were there. Our server kept asking us if he could reuse our glasses when he got us another glass of wine or beer because he's the one responsible for cleaning them at the end of the night. Never been asked that and thought it was weird.I will return to Fireside. It's close to our home, the atmosphere is usually good and the food is usually very good. But please, train your employees to have a sense of urgency and and to work together to give your patrons a better dining experience."

"My husband and I went last night and the service wasn't great, not bad, just not what I expected for as few customers as there were. The food was ok, but not off the charts. My husband had a cheesburger and fries which he said was very good with the exception of the slaw. I had the brisket sandwich with the mango salsa. I thought the sandwich could have used more salsa and some additional aioli (or something) as it was kind of dry. I had the chips which were more like oily, recooked Ruffles. They were burnt. We both felt like the bread would have benefited from toasting and perhaps use smaller rolls. There was just too much bread. I would like to see an option other than a salad for some entree without bread. The brisket with just the salsa and a side would have been great! We didn't try any desserts. We will go back and try again. The prices were reasonable and it is a bonus that they use local products."

"First time going and I'm glad we gave it a try. Service was good, everyone was very friendly. The food was excellent!! I wasn’t expecting huge pancakes when I ordered 2 so next time I’ll stick with 1. Bacon was cooked perfect. The prices are very reasonable, we haven’t ate that cheap in a long time. You definitely need to give this place a try, we’ll definitely be back! "If I could give it over 5 stars, I would. Go online and get your name on the list as it significantly reduces your waiting time. The service is AMAZING. You can say that employees really enjoy their job. Had breakfast twice in the 5 days I was in town. The Alamo was my choice of the first visit, the best breakfast Burrito I've ever had. It's HUGE and loaded with the good stuff. Our group also shared the cinnamon roll pancakes. These are for THE!!! Super sweet, but so sweet. The second visit I had the Yard Bird. Once again, they were not disappointed. Biscuits are huge and light. Super large piece of slightly baked chicken then shredded in the biscuits in Gravy. came with a selection of breakfast potatoes or hashbrown. The breakfast cakes were perfectly seasoned and delicious. If you're hungry, it's your own fault."
