"This place has several vegetarian options that are all marked on the menu, many of which are vegan or can be made vegan. the whole food is delicious and beautifully presented. I enjoy the smoothie shells and all the others I have tried, but the restaurant is on the expensive side for the portions that are served. $270NT for avocado toast is a lot. It tasted good and was presented as an artwork, but it is still expensive for what it is. the place is self-service. they order and pay at the theke, get their own cutlery etc., they call their names and they collect the food. I like it here, and I'd come back, but probably just once in one. on their Facebook page you can see their menu (which changes seasonally)."

"The restaurant has an extensive menu, including pages for burgers, pizzas, sandwiches and flatbreads. Somehow, none of the options are vegan. I don't know if they even have a salad that's vegan. It is possible to not contain certain ingredients and make some dishes vegan, although obviously that the dishes often make excessively dry. I honestly do not understand why a vegetarian restaurant with such a large menu is so unfriendly for vegans. Actually, I haven't been in a MiaCucina for years because it was about (and was reminded of how bad it is) because my first love had no free tables."

"I’m not sure why some rated this place with only a star as it’s not awful. I also wouldn’t give it a 5-star either as it’s like the “real thing”. Gotta be honest and say this is a place you go cos you crave those dishes from Singapore and choices are limited in Taiwan. Good enough to get over my cravings. For example the char kway teow doesn’t quite look or taste like my favorite hawker stalls in SG but they’re fine and it’s up to your personal taste. The dishes are certainly good enough to warrant repeat visits."

"It is rare to find all bakeries with more than one vegan item in taiwan, and this specific location of yihetang (or they goofily spell it with some non-standard Taiwanese system of romance that I refuse to use) is 100% vegan. they even make the caption sea salt butter of the chain with soybutter croissant. Unfortunately, like other Taiwanese bakeries, their bagels are only bagel-shaped broth, not real bagels. they have baked, broth, desserts and soy milk. go sooner rather than later on the day for the best selection. enjoy the Japanese service where they are greeted when entering and are recognized during their departure. — I've been hitting more recently than hits. for example, the sweet potato cheese bread was mostly fluffy brot with some small pieces of sweet potatoes and no cheese to show. similar experiences with their pizzabrot. it is disappointing to be deceived in thinking, it becomes more to their products than just broth. at this price point they would think that it is more to their products. Moreover, almost everything has the same fluffy texture, even if it is a baked good that should not be (e.g. cake, croissant, bagel, pineapple beer). it is nice that they have started accepting credit cards and they sell their own soy milk, but in plastic bags."

"Ahhh, vegan bakery in Taipei! The idea is fantastic, the execution also has its pros, but not everything works as it should. But let's make it step by step. The place is small, you can put cakes and rolls yourself on a tray, and then eat them on site or take away. On-site rolls can be eaten at one of two small tables. Unfortunately, you can feel a bit strange, because often one of them is occupied by the service. It also happened once to me that both tables were taken by them. There is no bathroom, so you can't wash your hands before eating and you need to go to a public toilet about 100 meters away. On the other hand, when I took the rolls for take-out, before I realized what had happened, the staff packed three rolls each in a separate plastic bag, and then all three into another maybe vegan, but not ecological. Let's get to the sweets. Cinnamon roll is the best one. Although not as good as in most European countries, there is not much to cling on to. Some other rolls are also quite tasty, but most are too dry. They lack some filling, coating, something more specific in taste. Asian countries are not known for their tasty sweets. Hence, no one will bring rather beautiful memories for a lifetime, but on the other hand it is one of the best vegan bakeries on this continent where I ate, hence the positive rating. The prices are also very reasonable."
