"We went for Summerlicious (discounted menu) and the food was honest. The service was nice but there was only so much that one waitress could do. The decor tries to convey a sensation of luxury and premium that is not displayed on the plates."

"It was Summerlicious and it was lunchtime for those who work in the area so the noise level was too high for my liking. I dined with 3 other people and overall the dishes were good but not stellar. The server was prompt and efficient even though it was very busy. I wouldn't mind trying other things on the menu when it's not Summerlicious."

"Opus has been a mainstay in the Annex neighbourhood for close to 30 years. What has kept in in business (and it was packed the night we dined there) great service, outstanding food and one of the best wine lists in Toronto. I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner the seared foie gras appetizer (very silky and very rich), the Fogo Island cod entree (a small portion but perfectly cooked and served with a great saffron sauce) and doughnuts tossed in cinnamon sugar for dessert. It's not cheap appetizers in the mid $20s and most entrees between $40 and $49 but a good place as any to splurge."

"Very impressed with our entire evening! This was our first time eating Soanish cuisine…and we loved the tapas ‘small plates’ presentation! Our server was so attentive and helpful as there are so many tastes to decide upon! Drinks were lovely, the Spanish beer he recommended was very refreshing!! Highly recommend this restaurant!!"

"Server and staff was friendly but timing was very off. Food arrived cold. Coffee arrived late and and cold. Assuming they were short staffed, but it wasn’t busy at the time. Food was ok. Atmosphere was nice and jazz band was a lovely touch."

"Excellent décor, food quality and services as usual. Excited about their summerlicious lunch & dinner tasting. Very attractive summer menus and one of the dessert had exceeded my expectation -- Lavender Crème Brûlée. It was very competitive with Bymark' Crème Brûlée. Please see the tasting dishes photos.This restaurant has always been best in their roasted chicken and fish & chips dishes. They are very unique and both dishes are the best that I had tasted in the downtown core restaurants.Their special sharing menus are excellent value, quality and enjoyable no matter you choose the roasted chicken, prime ribs, BBQ pork ribs or chicken and ribs share. There are recommended wines or cocktails to go with the delicious dishes. The servers pay attention to customers food requirements and they have full knowledge on the regular, sharing and drinks menus.The three course menu is the best value for $32. Tried it many times with different choices. Food quality is consistent and that's very important to the customers. Good gathering location for party, family with young children, business meeting and private room is available. Had hosted birthday dinner in the private dining room."
