"Visited Manchester on a very busy Bank Holiday and struggled to find an eating establishment without very long waiting times . Then we found Cafe Metro and the place was practically empty. Alarm bells should've been ringing at that point! Ordered a grilled chicken ciabbata sandwich and a Minute Steak with mushroom and fries. A pot of tea for 1 and a Latte which is advertised as Lavazza. I drink a lot of coffee and my latte was truly awful in every conceivable way and most certainly NOT Lavazza. To say the place was empty,we waited an awfully long time for our food. There was another couple seated near us....2 obnoxious women who spent the whole time arguing and swearing at each other while one of them kept using the serviettes to stem the blood from her recently fitted belly button piercing. The dining area is depressing and dimly lit.Very tired and dated decor and absolutely zero ambience. When the food finally got served, my partner thought the chicken sandwich was OK but had a distinct taste of the oil it had been cooked in. My plate of food was really quite dreadful. Bland Oven chips,tasteless sautéed mushrooms and the worst steak I've been presented with for many a year.Fatty, full of gristle and overcooked to the point where it was almost impossible to cut. Total bill came to £23 which I felt was poor value for money and we will definitely not revisit anytime soon."

"Had 2 breakfasts and found hairs in my plate. Told the waitress and an old man running the kitchen. They denied and not even apologies. Never return . and will report to the council to complain. Second times happened."

"Went to my cousins baby shower very friendly people food was nice we had the afternoon tea, be nic so fthe scones was homemade and the mini cakes, but all tasted good, good for a quick meet up"

"Nice little railway coffee. the vegan breakfast was the best I ever had, my friend had the meat version and agreed it was the best she had. really good value for money and personal were very friendly. highly recommended for vegan/veggies."

"This isn't a place we visit much, but when we do, we enjoy it. It is very centrally located near Oxford Road and that means it gets extremely busy. It is to the great credit of the Pub that you never have to wait long to get served though as this plenty of staff.they have the usual range of well priced drinks and some excellent guest beers. It is a big place, but the best seats without doubt of the stools over by the windows. From here you can enjoy having a drink or two whilst watching the madness of Manchester go by."
