"Pirates bay is one of my few access points for a quiet drink, a friendly atmosphere and a low priced room. The owner, Akim, is one of the most helpful individuals I met in Thailand. The menu is always fully available and offers everything from local cuisine to German mainstays, as well as dessert and even some Mexican dishes (which are surprisingly authentic). I would recommend this facility to the medium age audience and expat."

"I can’t believe this place only has 3 reviews! It may be my new favorite restaurant (right next to goodsouls) in Chiang Mai and definitely deserves more popularity. I ordered the summer Buddha bowl that came with white rice, avocado, the best tempeh I’ve ever had, diced cucumber, carrots, Mango, teriyaki sauce, and miso soup! I asked for them to make it without any oil and they were happy to do so. The workers here are so nice and happy! I also got their green tea boba with soy milk and it was delicious! I can’t wait to come back and try all their other yummy food options! I will say that they are a bit on the pricier side, but I thought it was well worth it! Someone mentioned that the portions were small but I disagree, I left feeling super satisfied."

"We have booked in The Resorts other restaurants in Koh Chang and Koh Samui so as to stay in Chang Mai, think it would be similar. There is the usual huge menu with a mixture of raw foods and veggie friendly foods, but for some reason the other restaurants are much better at marking which dishes are vegan on the menu. The employees of the other branches also generally had good enough understanding of veganism to know whether a dish could be made vegan or not. In Chiang Mai we guess and ask what we know from the other resorts as none of the staff seems to understand. The food we had was really delicious and enjoyable, even if the starter arrived after the main course or the frits arrived long after the Tofu Burger! The drinks are also fantastic when you come here you should try the Tropical Dream smoothie. We also have to say that we have experienced a first for us in Thailand a consistently grievous member of the staff. Found me cheating. It is all a shame, because the restaurant has a fantastic location really quiet and great tasting food. Clearer menus, and more interesting and enthusiastic staff, would make this place unbeatable!"

"I love this juice and smooth bar and make sure you come here every time I visit the city. The interior is simple, bright, clean and fresh a great place to enjoy your 5 per day (fresh juice smooth) or enjoy They freshly made Granola for breakfast or a light healthy fusion style lunch. The bar offers a menu that is the health benefits of the various juices that is really useful. Tropical is connected to the adjacent Rustic River Boutique guest house, so if you visit from the city, the perfect two in one: a beautiful place to visit the city and enjoy delicious juices. Tropical is perfect near the Ping River, Worowot Market and Tapae Gate, all within walking distance and interesting places to visit. But by far the best of this beautiful little juice and smooth bar is Fah, which leads the place. Nothing is too much trouble and being greeted by her beautiful smile makes the juices even more delicious!"

"This place is wonderful. A nice quiet oasis, and yet in, the lively city. The walk from the street is lush with plants and trees. The covered terrace and bistro itself is very well furnished in French style. The food was beautifully displayed and was delicious."
