"We take an annual fall weekend in Montreal, and first visited Mediterraneo a year ago, shortly after it had opened. I wrote then that I hoped it would still be there in a year, and I'm so glad that it still is. We had the most delightful meal with wonderful service. We began with an order of Moroccan cigars which were greaselessly fried to perfection. The only red wine available by the glass was a Cab Sav; we would have enjoyed a Pinot Noir, Petite Syrah, or Shiraz more. My wife had grilled lamp chops, which she found superb, which were served with French fried and grilled vegetables. I had a New York Strip steak, which was thinner and not as well-marbled as I expected it to be. It was delightfully seasoned and cooked exactly to the degree I requested. The taste was exquisite.We were too full for desert, but the manager brought us a complimentary small plate of pastries. We look forward to going back, and I can't wait to try the filet mignon."
