"Went for date w hubby because we were both craving ramen. Decided to get some appies (special roll tempura). Special roll caterpillar (asparagus, pumpkin, avocado, cucumber, mayo, crunch) had rancid 'crunch ' and was not worth $12. Noodles were overcooked in our ramen. Only one type of cold sake available (but it was very nice). Serving staff were over busy (altho polite) could not keep up with the 12 tables in dining section. Nobody came to address rancid food and still got charged for it. Waited 25 mins for bill that never came. We 've been here for sushi before, had a much better (altho expensive) experience last time."

"It's not great food it's well below average, people stating that it's amazing here must not have experienced great sushi before. Had the Takoyaki that were heavy barely any seafood inside and therefore taste was lacking. No onion flakes, the super sweet sauces provided...the only flavour for this dish (and they weren't great either). Calamari although a larger portion than I expected the batter was heavy and didn't allow for any flavour except for oil. Cat's Eye Roll although eye catching and promising also disappointed. The hot sauce was the dominant flavour and there was no flavour provided from the fish."

"Felt like having Japanese tonight, and decided to try something new. I had passed by Hanami on the commute home from work several times and decided to finally give it a try. My partner and I ordered an appetizer of Creamy prawns. The prawns were large and covered with a sweet – Sour lemon sauce, they really reminded me of a western Chinese dish, nonetheless not bad. For my main course I ordered the Katsu pork rice bowl, the sauce was acceptable, the pork was a bit dry but not to bad. My partner ordered the coconut curry soup. I tried a few spoons of the broth and found it to be very rich and flavorful, really was surprised by the soup it was quite reminiscent of a soup from a Thai restaurant but mixed with Ramen noodles, really a nice soup. I also ordered the “bad boy roll” I know it’s not traditional at all but I love deep fried sushi, the presentation was quite sharp and the roll was quite good. All in all a decent experience, I would probably say 3.5 stars out of 5. If you live nearby definitely check it out"

"Told hubby he had to take me for lunch on my birthday and I wanted to go to Globefish knowing the food would be good. No disappointment there. Service was good and fast too. It is such a pity the place has no windows, especially at this time of year."

"I've impressed not only with the food but with the service as well. There's a good selection of food. The place is clean and I like the ambiance. What i like is the staff. They are very careful when filling food station. Our server was really good in clearing our plates and always filling up our glasses."

"The customer service in this place is simply one of the worst. We went there on July 8 2016 for dinner. Half way through the meal, we found a bug in the saki. So, we called a waitress over. Later on we found out she was actually the manager. We showed her the bug. Without apologizing, she immediately said that they poured the saki from a big bottle (meaning there couldn't be bugs in it). Then we said 'oh maybe the bug was in the pot'. She denied it again by saying that all the pots were washed. Then she offered to take half of the saki price off the bill. We looked at each other and couldn't believe our ears. Then she asked us what we would want (in a very nasty way). All this time she didn't even say one sorry."
