"My family was brought here for lunch by a Canadian friend. We had bento box sets. Some had tuna sashimi. Service was excellent. The food were fresh & tasty. The bill for the lunch was reasonable. We had to make a reservation before coming. Parking is available along the street. It's free for an hour. The establishment looks a bit worned. Needs a sprucing up!!"

"The lady working there was sooo nice! Always answered any questions we had about the dishes. There is a lot to choose from and the food was good for the price. I recommend the bonito smoked salmon roll."

"Tatsu is a tiny Japanese bistro located on “The Drive” in Vancouver. We stopped by one weekend for lunch and managed to squish into a table near the window. We started out with the Lunch Bento with Chicken Teriyaki $12.95). It’s not a bad bento box given the variety of items that you get: California roll, fried gyoza, tempura, chicken teriyaki, and salad."

"This was one of the first Japanese restaurants to offer brown rice sushi and i have to say it is excellent. The fish is very fresh, the rice is tender and if you order the higher end sushi dishes you often get a special garnish of a deep fried spot prawn head. Don't turn your nose up on this item, if you love prawns you'll love this - the shell becomes crisp like a potato chip and is packed full of prawny goodness! Give it a try!Although this dish isn't Japanese this place makes the best yam fries i have eaten anywhere in the world. A tower of the fries is drizzled with the usual chipotle mayo, but also has a balsamic vinegar reduction which is delicious! I love this restaurant it is reasonably priced and the food is great."

"Great value, friendly team, fresh ingredients! Nice new decor as of Nov 2016 and new owners/team. Sushi Chef Danny, wife (server) Joyce, so enthusiastic as is Kitchen Chef Ken. Great value combination I had: Handy Roll $9 (california, dynamite, yam long rolls (uncut) on beautiful plate) what a meal! My daughter had a simple chicken roll and Kelly added a nice pretty salad too. Glad to have these guys in the neighbourhood! Roll party tray very affordable too, had one done for party on Dec 23. Very affordable and good sushi. Previous owners made a different thickness (more rice) sushi. So good now!"
