"We decided to go to this restaurant based on its #2 ranking in the area, unfortunately this was a poor experience as the food and drinks were expensive and unoriginal. The mojito (non-alcoholic) was just about the only pleasant thing about this visit. As it was a blustery evening we decided to go into the shelter. The table we were placed at was covered in ants and despite the waiters attempt to get rid of them (sprayed and wiped the table down) they kept making their way back up. The grilled mussels were satisfactory and the beef main-fatty and oily."

"We visited this restaurant on both occasions that we visited Ribeira Brava We ordered cappuccinos each, they were rather good the first time, that's why we came back. Situated along the promenade in Ribeira Brava, an ideal spot to sit back, under an...umbrella, near the sea. Good coffee in a great location with friendly staff."

"We had a very good time at Muralha. Had Lunch and ordered Fish which was excellent. Also the service is outstanding at a wonderful location with views of the Atlantic as the restaurant is at a waterfront location. I would say this was the best...dining experience we had during our 14 day stay on Madeira."

"Visited tonight - easy to find contrary to some reviews . Almost empty so usually would take as a bad sign but generally town was quiet so thought we would try it. Waitress/ owner was very friendly. Menu was available in English - good range of traditional meals. Shrimp omelette was packed with large prawns and well cooked with the add addition of fresh parsley - came with an incredibly large portion chips ( next time I would ask for larger salad and less chips), my husband had the steak filled with ham and cheese. The steak was poker quality than other places with quite a bit of fat but the sauce was good. Whole meal with bread and coffee was €22."
