"A lucky find for me! My Garmin took me to this little strip mall as I was in search of breakfast. There are two restaurants at this mall... which i was unaware of. When I tried my original destination's door, it was locked (opening at 9 am). What's the point of selling breakfast at 9 am. Anyway, that's when good fortune smiled upon me.Frustrated I pivoted towards my car and saw the sign for Big Daddy's sandwich and breakfast. Good! A place to go!Small and quaint, immaculately clean. To the cash register to order I met Philita (the owner),A happy, welcoming and friendly lady!I ordered bacon and eggs. $7.95. Look, it's just bacon and eggs, right?? Well it was great! Bacon, great! Real eggs (not the yellow soup people serve nowadays).Hash browns (McCain's type) and toast. Oh and coffee (from a Keurig... pick your flavour!)Only in town two days this trip. Found it yesterday and returned again today. If I lived here I'd be there tomorrow.Brought a friend today.. he loved it.Great b-fast.. great price and great service from someone who is doing her best to make her clients welcome and happy. She makes her own soups as well.Go! It's not the Ritz.. but it's a great breakfast for sure!"

"We were here last night...our waitress was incredible! We noticed that she's alone in the dining area attending all the tables but still still gave us absolutely exemplary service. She was funny, friendly and offered excellent recommendations for pairing our wines with the meal starting from the great choices of appetizer. The food was cooked perfectly. Delivered to us hot and flavorful.The service was top-notch. Definitely recommend stopping by!"

"WORST SERVICE OF WAIT STAFF AND KITCHEN STAFF EVER..!!!!!Valentines Day evening. We just wanted to go out for a nice bite to eat. Yes it was busy, but it's still a restaurant and should act accordingly..!We had a table in the bar side. Since we had 10 minutes in the front to look at the menu, we were able to order right after sitting down. Got our drinks in a normal amount of time. 20 minutes later waiter never once comes by to see if we wanted a refill. Walked past us many times and never once looked our way to see if we had empty glasses. We did have empty glasses that I moved around the perimeter of the table hoping he might spot it. Nope, we had to about grab him as he walked past us in order to get his attention. Ok got second drink. 50 minutes have now gone by since we ordered. Waiter looks at us again for the first time since he brought the second drink. "You haven't gotten your order yet?", he says. Then goes to the kitchen to find out what's the hold up. Comes back 5 minutes later with an excuse that both orders were at the pass, but another waiter had to have taken half of our order and left the other half sitting there by mistake. So he says that it will take just another 3 minutes to do the other half of the order again. Wow only 3 minutes to do half the order, but it's now been almost an hour for the whole order. One half was the beef dip and the 3 minute order was for their fish and chips. I wouldn't say it requires an hour to do both. But I could be mistaken. So the 3 minutes turned into 20 more minutes and then we get the same stance in front of us from the waiter shocked that we still haven't received our food. Makes a face and heads back to the kitchen again. 5 minutes more and finally he serves us our food. The plates are hot he's says so be careful. Why is the beef dip plate hot..? Not because it was freshly made I can tell you. You could see the discolouration of the beef that is sticking outside of the bun. It's dark and looking dried up. I pull the bun back and that beef colour was like it should be but clearly you could see the outside edges were drying up.That was the last straw. 1 hour and 20 minutes later, enough was enough.We got up and I said that this was my first time here at Whitespot and it will be my last. We just left. I'm really embarrassed for the kitchen for actually letting something that had been sitting under the warming lights for that long to actually be sent out to customers. Both orders should have been done together again. Shame on the waiter for not doing his job..!! Shame on the kitchen..!! Total disgrace..!!The food may have been good if it was fresh, but we never had a chance to find out."

"I visited this caffe, after having our company with catering service for our bbq (which was fabulous with great selection) so I decided to try it for lunch while I worked in the city. location is perfect in the center of jasper ave and the ambiente is quiet and relaxed in the building of the enterprise square library. amazing selection of sandwiches, suppen and salates that I'm looking for at lunchtime. a very friendly cook served me and I had the turkey club panini, roasted- delicious, but the highlight was the coffee for me. I had a cappuccino and it was one if not the best coffee in the city and everything for a reasonable price! I'd get this box back to anyone in the city. Too bad this place is not very visible."
