"The most amazing hotel in eastbourne! it was my first trip to eastbourne and I wait to visit it since winter and I have booked a night over the weekend in the grand hotel! I traveled a trip from edinburgh to eastbourne, so I called the hotel to ask her if I could check early she could say they'll try it and guess? they did it! the staff out there is extremely polite and humble. they treat you with great humility and compassion. "They have just returned to home after an extremely disappointing meal in the evening in the restaurant to celebrate our ruby high-time day. there was a choice only main courses. Lamb, steak, salmon with tiger garnel and a vegetarian court and were recommended that there were only steaks left. we could also choose from the lounge menu, but that was not very inspiring either. we were told that the menu choice was bad as they were in the process of changing it, which did not help us at all! both the appetizers and the puddings were simply in order and I must say that this was not good and more like a cheap super market brand. the young waitress who served us was very friendly and professional, but unfortunately the other staff were all young, inexperienced young. my man was brought a bottle of beer without glass! I must say we enjoyed better eating in local pubs! everything we wanted to celebrate a special occasion, and we are unlikely to come back soon."

"Took the family here, 2 teenage boys and their Dan for a Saturday lunchtime meal. The menu is vast and if you don't fancy the cavery, you can choose from a decent selection of good traditional pub grub. From scampi, pizza, pies, burgers and vegan/veggie dishes for everyone. We went with starters; prawns and chicken wings. Both very nice and served promptly and piping hot. 3 of us had the carvery and my youngest opted for pepperoni pizza. We all enjoyed our food and had no criticism about it. It was what we expected; good old pub food. Very reasonably priced so it won't break the bank. For a family of four (incl 2 teen boys) starters, main and a drink each came to £60. Could easily be less if only opting for main and drink. Good atmosphere too, happy staff and chilled environment suitable for a couple or family."
