"Our first night we decided to eat at the hotel restaurant. We waited 2 hours for our food! We ordered the chicken and fries for my son and when it finally came it was chicken and a salad. We were told they didn't have fries when In fact we saw a family behind us with fries. That family also ordered the EXACT same thing I did (fish). We got there and ordered before them and they got their food at least 45 min before we got ours. Our waiter did seem a little overwhelmed. I know how the food industry works so we tried to be sympathetic for the guy. So I'm not sure what was happening. It wasn't the kitchen since people were getting their food before us that had been there after us. When I finally got my food it was actually really good. Aside from the wait time and a few bones in my fish it was ok."

"Have been here today as a holiday visitor. Also because of the many other good reviews we were looking forward to the beer stump. You sometimes need some luck getting a place. Please call and book in nice weather on the small terrace. Super view included. The food offer is clear and everything is freshly prepared. It was just delicious and what price/performance applies great. Have fun and good hunger...."

"Great Bavarian atmosphere in this restaurant. The waiter was very friendly and spoke German and English. The schnitzel varieties were all pork no turkey or veal options. They had two beers on tap hefeweizen and a light beer plus a variety of...domestic brews in bottles. The restaurant seems to do a good job of catering to both locals and American tourists because there was about a 50 50 mix on a Wednesday during dinner hours. Prices were reasonable about average for Garmisch. The specials were a whole, local fish and turkey goulash with spaetzle. There were also a few vegetarian options on the menu."
