"Not our favorite spot for Chinese food, but after being on the road for out of town appointments, figured we'd give it another try since it is the closest Chinese restaurant to our house. We decided to do takeout since the establishment itself has become rather in inviting. It is quite dark, never too many people in the dining room and one dining room is closed off. Not that many years ago, the place was bustling and the other dining room was always open and a pleasant room to sit in. There is also a bar/sushi bar which we have never sat at and only had 1 person sitting at it last night when we were there. We ordered our food and crossed our fingers it would be good since our previous experience has been that it can be very inconsistent in quality and preparation. Our order consisted of egg rolls, crab rangoons and Mongolian beef. It was prepared in the amount of time promised and we went on our way. A nice thing about Chinese food is that it seems to stay hot for a long time so when we arrived home 15 minutes later it was still piping hot! The egg rolls were very good. They were just right crispy on the outside and had a tasty filling. The crab rangoons hit the spot too. Nicely fried, not too greasy and a good filling. The Mongolian beef was quite yummy spicy, but that's how we like it. There were tender strips of beef, yummy vegetables and a brown sauce that may have been too hot for some, but not us. You could see the hot red pepper flakes! I'm hoping that maybe there are new chefs in the kitchen and if so yay! We enjoyed last night's meal so we'll try it again and see what happens!"
