"I cannot express in words how satisfied I felt walking out of Merrywell, but here it goes! <br/ <br/ What I love how this place is that you can come by for casual drinks on a night out, and might I say that the have a rather impressive cocktail menu, or, you can even dine in for a special occasion. <br/ <br/ The took my partner here for dinner for his birthday. We ordered several entrees as we wanted to try a bit of everything, and in all honesty, the Asian fusion dishes sounded a lot more enticing! <br/ <br/ Highlight of my dining experience... It’s a hard one because I loved pretty much all of it <br/ Let’s start with the kimchi bolognese. I love that chef used slow cooked beef and not mince, and the spice from the kimchi gave it a nice kick. The name is bizarre but is a rather good concoction. <br/ <br/ Second. The larb rice paper roll. What a deliciously fresh dish perfect for summer. Being so used to having the regular Vietnamese ingredients that’s usually served in these rolls, it was a very nice to taste the Thai flavours in these rice paper rolls. The sticky rice, chicken and mint leaves with shredded coconut complimented so well with the sweet chilli sauce. <br/ <br/ Lastly! The mini steak sandwiches! The beef was cooked to perfection and remained tender in the buttered, toasted bread. Something so simple yet soooo delicious when all cooked just right <br/ <br/ If I could recommend a drink, it’d be the chilli lychee cocktail. It was sweet and hot, definitely a unique concoction that’s a must!<br/ <br/ Staff were lovely and attentive throughout. Would love to come here again that I actually have to stop myself. Would recommend this lovely, versatile place to anyone."

"Started out with the falafel.  Three egg shaped falafel on a bed of spiced labneh.  Generally I 'm not a fan as I find falafel a bit dry.  In this case they were crispy on the outside but moist enough within not to *need* the labneh.  Some of the best I 've had (but I don 't eat them very often so it 's a low bar).<br/ The chicken, lamb and potatoes followed.  <br/ <br/ The chicken was sliced reasonably thinly, cooked evenly and nicely spiced.  The rice pilaf was scattered with red and black currants.  Nice dish.<br/ Potatoes were very nice.  Lightly crushed and deep fried to a nice crispiness.<br/ The serving of lamb was a little small and I found the tomato mograbieh (pasta balls) a little dull (it was quite similar to what you 'd get in a tin of baked beans) and the whole mint leaves wasted.  In fact, the combination of the sauce and the lamb didn 't really work that well.  However, the lamb was very nice.  In some ways, this dish was saved by the labneh that came with the potatoes and the pilaf that was served with the chicken.<br/ Dessert was a 'moroccan mess ' and a sticky date pudding (off menu special).<br/ The mess was truly messy a pile of meringue, berry compote and cream with rose water flavoured floss on top.  Perhaps a little wetter than necessary and very sweet.<br/ The pudding was pretty good. Good moisture, appropriate sauce serving.  Could have been a little hotter upon arrival at the table.<br/ <br/ We did book (not long before arriving), but the booking wasn 't on their system.  Fortunately there were plenty of tables, so no problem, but considering that my partner had to spell their name over the phone I found it strange that the booking wasn 't listed.<br/ Service was friendly and attentive.<br/ <br/ Overall... serving sizes are a little on the pokey side for the price, but the flavours were good.  Gluten free options are a little on the thin side when it comes to the mains though.<br/ <br/ Probably a 3.5 in the old scale."

"Went here for a quick bite before grabbing drinks. Saw fried pickles and knew we had to get some! We were so excited but when they came out, they were PAPER THIN and had no pickle inside. Just really salty fried crumbs....really disappointing. And they...were $7 which we thought was quite high, regardless of the poor quality! BUT we also got buffalo wings and they were great. The staff seemed really nice and the vibe was good. Just don 't get fried pickles! Picture below is of the fried pickles"

"I come here for a nice original Turkish coffee and a yummy Sucuk Pide (sausage and omelette pie), I get them both with a brilliant friendly personalised service. When I started going there, the girl over the counter picked my name off my bank card...and made sure to call me by my first name, on top of this, every time I walk in she remembers what coffee I'm here for.... Brilliant service, give it a try."
