"Sunday lunch for 6. The roast (2 turkey, 1 lamb) was beautifully cooked each with its own gravy ie not 1 type of gravy whatever you have. 1 steak and mushroom pie , a good portions and 2 children's meals. A good selection of nicely cook vegetable. The pudding menu had 5 choice (i think) and all were well presented and were top notch. The staff were all up to the mark, the speed of service was just right. If you want well cooked and presented food for a reasonable price then this is the place to be."

"A most delicious roast turkey meal with trimmings for lunch today. Excellent portions and quality food. Opted for the lemon tart for pud which was also moreish too. I only hope I manage to cook a tasty meal like this on Christmas Day! Well done to the chefs in the kitchen and the whole staff team at The Red Deer. We received such a wonderful welcome and nothing was too much trouble. This has been our third visit to the establishment. Highly recommend with a large car park outside."

"We ended up at this lovely pub, due to another one randomly being closed. The food is proper home cooked grub and lovely. The bar itself appeared to have mainly locals who were all friendly. There is also a pool table, which now is almost unheard of in a pub. We had the pizzas and they were delicious. We’re vegetarians, but one of us doesn’t have diary either and the staff catered for that, the best they could. The only thing I would say is that on the menu, there isn’t a great selection for anyone who is dairy free and even quite limited (nowadays) for a veggie, but the rest of the menu looked lovely. It is also dog friendly. Staff very friendly."

"We visited thus pub for a valentines fixed menu, which was very good. Lovely place.. however, terrible ladies toilets. 2 x very small cubicles, no toilet paper, one cubicle door doesn’t shut so you have to sit with your foot up against the door. The hand dryer barely works and for a busy pub are not adequate."
