The owners have been very supportive in letting me (bend the menu) to create specials that my clients can walk off the street and order without even seeing the menu. "My mom and I stopped by after visiting plant city strawberry festival. We were starving and we haven't tried Double D's BBQ before. We were glad decided to try them. I had the pulled chicken with baked beans, pasta salad, and corn bread. Recently, I had dental work done and needed soft foods to eat during the healing process. The staff was soo alternative and nice and we didn't wait long for the food to arrive. My meal was hot and tasty. The corn bread was moist. The chicken was perfect. We have found our new BBQ joint. Sorry Slow n Low."

"I love the reinvention of the restaurant. The vibe is comfy-deli, and the food is delish! I had the Rachel (a Rueben with turkey instead of pastrami) and could barely get my mouth around it, but that didn't stop me. The kraut and Thousand Island dressing are house-made. We'll be back to try the other sandwiches...and for their famous kielbasa."
