"We used Fresh Horizons Creative Catering for our Thanksgiving resident event and it couldn't have more amazing! They had our food ready for us on a Sunday, everything was adorably packaged with menu cards and instructions! The turkey was anything but dry and extremely delicious.. in fact EVERYTHING they provided was supreme! 10/10 would definitely use their services again and again!"

"I love the new $5 any foot long. I got a turkey foot long and ate half for lunch with some employees and ate the other half in the office when I was working late. I like the cold sandwiches here because I can stash them in the fridge and not have to worry about heating them up. The service here was good, a little apathetic but nothing serious."

"Hands down the best menudo and barbacoa I’ve had in San Antonio. The tamales are also amazing and stuffed with meat. This place is to go and cash only and is a bit of a whole in the wall, but well worth the drive. The staff is friendly and very attentive. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. Definitely one of the hidden gem for those those love good food!"

"We have eaten at Jardin before and had a better experience, but not outstanding. Service was slow getting to our large table of 20. Drink orders weren't taken for close to 20 minutes and didn't arrive until 20 or more minutes after that--some even later. Food orders followed, and food was also delayed. There was only one person handling our table with occasional help from others. I later discovered she was new--and handling a table for 20! We had a three course price fixed dinner. The highlight were the very good and very plentiful appetizers. The cheese with tomato preserves were my favorite, but the pita bread was a close second. Several other choices, literally all you could want. When the main course FINALLY arrived, almost everyone complained that their food was cold. Almost no one dared to ask for it to be reheated, fearing closing time. My shrimp were so over salted that I left almost all of them uneaten--a first for me. Obviously, COVID and massive unemployment benefits have made staffing a problem, but one would think fairly expensive restaurants such as this (our fixed price menu was $65 each) would have qualified staff anxious to work. To their credit, the manager SLOWLY handled each bill individually and offered compensation to some--but with another 30 minute delay for our party. Hopefully they will recover."

"The food is always amazing!!! Unfortunately I work from 7am-6pm and I made it to the Broadway location at 7:27pm. I get it when people are tired and are pretty much ready to go home, and I’m sorry I made it at almost closing. but honestly you don’t have to give a customers an ugly attitude. you could tell both of the cashiers were ready to leave. I felt like I was at a McDonald’s drive thru(“is that it….ok…. Is that it” . If your not a people person, you shouldn’t work in either retail or restaurant business."

"Famous Smokehouse BBQ is brilliant and delicious. What’s interesting about this joint is when you pull up the sign says another name so don’t let that distract you, plus it appears to be an old gas station which I think adds to the appeal. Unfortunately the inside was closed but the Owner/Cook came to our car and provided us with menus and took our orders.My wife ordered the brisket, my friend ordered a sandwich that contained both pulled pork and pulled brisket, and I got the pulled pork. Both the brisket and pulled pork plates came with two sides and bread. What’s awesome about this place is you honestly don’t need the sides because the amount of meat you get is more than enough. My friends sandwich on the other hand was gigantic and looked like it would be a struggle for a guy my size.When I say the both meat were brilliantly seasoned and tasty is an understatement. Botha meats were extremely juicy and well seasoned that not a single bite was dry or without flavor. Even two days later my friend and I are still talking about it because of how good it was. If you want some delicious BBQ and quality interaction with the owner/cook who was prior military than head this joint, you won’t make mistake."
