"Abseits does translate as apart secluded or remote Bamberg has a world culture heritage cityscape and so many many toursist visit it particularly in summer. Most of the central restaurants and guesthouses are crowded and very busy. If you´re willing to walk a while,...you will not only see more of the town, and how people live, but you may also come to this fine place. Abseits. The choice of beers made me enquire if there were guest rooms available (sadly not so) because I would not have minded staying here all evening, testing more variations of Franconian beers. The food was good. There is a dish of the day and a pleaseant choice of other meals. The outdoor seating is lovely. The staff are humorous and friendly. I shall come back."

"Leisurely. Delicious. Food. Wine. Beer. We enjoyed all of it. Highly recommend this Greek restaurant for a classy meal. Nice jazz music. Comfortable booth/bench seating. Very nice complementary soup sample to take the chill off upon arrival. Everything cooked perfectly."
