"Wow! This place has such a long wait because it’s first come first serve, but it was okay because my boyfriend and I just walked around the area while we waited. We were sat at the bar and the hostesses were really nice about getting us a seat! We tried their small plates- the pork belly watermelon tacos were just as unique and tasty as the reviews say! We also tried the garlic truffle fries, veal short ribs, and the roasted Brussel sprouts. They were all cooked to perfection Brandon, the bartender, was very attentive and made me a mocktail that tasted amazing and refreshing. My boyfriend got another bourbon cocktail (the Stupid Hat or something like that) and he loved it. The ambience is very cozy and exclusive, and the place was dark, but it definitely added to the vibe. Would love to come again!"

"Came here after being out late for pictures and was met with kind service and a decent gyro. Usually late night bar food is garbage but here I ate the whole thing. The late night ambience is always entertaining with drunk people. The interior has no decor. It is a dive which is why everyone was sitting outside. Local parking is limited so i suggest getting an Uber."

"We ate so fast, no pictures of food. Sorry guys... This is one of my favorite restaurants for date nights! It's also 1.5 miles away from French bakery for dessert! AMELIES. Very healthy and filling food choices at YAFO!"

"This menu was amazing!! I wanted everything on it and yet knew I couldn’t have it all. Enjoyed a couple of small plates which were so yummy. The chicken lemon soup was delicious. First time having anchovies on a Caesar salad and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I eat a lot or Caesar salads and this would be in my top 5. Would highly recommend and am looking forward to my next time there"

"Ran into this restaurant while visiting Charlotte for a sneaker convention. My sister wanted some Mediterranean for lunch and we happened upon YAFO. The interior is spacious and welcoming with its modern design elements. You 're met with a bar line of choices from the menu ranging from a variety of meats, veggies and sauces all of it just bombarding the senses. My sister went with the spicy chicken sandwich with a side of fries to play on the safe side [also she was craving hard that day] I on the other had could not make up my mind. So being me I wanted a little of everything but knew I couldn 't do that asked the girl behind the glass any suggestions. And all of them were good and looked good. But to her surprise I asked make me something you would make for yourself. And that is what you see in my picture. Kale, chicken, rice pilaf, noodle salad. She poured it on like she was about to go on break and devour this plate. Everything was fresh from the first bite to the last. I barely was able to finish my meal but it was just too good to not clean the plate. A wash with Pabst and I can definitely say Yafo is a good place to get yourself a good plate. Try what I did and you might be surprised at what they cook up to serve you."

"I will not be coming back here!!! I wanted to like this place so badly but I was not satisfied at all. The vegan ramen was so bland, I had to go home and season the ramen myself and it was much better. For the price they don’t give a lot of noodles, I had more broth than noodles in my humble opinion and the noodles were super thin. I would have been better off making my famous vegan ramen at home."
