"Visited bay area last week for business. I ve always wanted to try this highly acclaimed spot on google. This place did not disappoint and I ordered an off the menu dish (thin Tai sashimi with shredded daikon) I had in Japan and the chef who was real Japanese revived with perfection. Very impressed."

"I went here when the restaurant just opened at 5pm and had to wait 45 min before receiving my food for a table of two. The salmon roll was okay, but the rice was kind of hard and the seaweed was hard to chew. I also ordered the weekly special that is served until 7pm but it was not great. I would not eat it again. So this restaurant is terrible at both OG dishes and their special dishes.I’m confused at the price point of this restaurant and the level of service I received. Ruined my Valentine’s Day and left me with a bad taste in my mouth."

"My second time at Marugame Udon, just at a different location. Food was quick and portions are very generous with the dishes and complimentary add ons as well. Workers were very friendly and the place had an overall welcoming atmosphere. The food itself was good too, i got the Tan Tan a spicy vegan udon to me it was not that spicy but it was still a good dish. I also got the Chicken Katsu Teriyaki and that was great as well. Had an overall good experience, would come again."

"We arrived at 5:35 on Saturday afternoon the place opens at 5:30pm) and realized there was a 1.5 hr waiting line already. The place has limited seats. However, it was totally worth. We ordered some of the famous dish and every single one of them is amazing and tasty. It?s not cheap $70 per person) and it?s small, but we will come back to have more."
