"This has been a family favorite since childhood. The sushi here is flat out the best in California and I have been all over the state. The fish is very fresh and the chef takes pride kn being the only one to prepare the sushi himself. The omakase is a must experience."

"Came for a mid week dinner for two and it was very quiet (only 2 other tables). Started with the endamame (boiled lacking salt), the spider roll sushi (ordinary), tori karaage (a bit burnt) the Nasu dengaku eggplant which was tasty. Agedashi tofu was forgettable but the teriyaki fish was nice. Overall the food was not bad but it just wasn’t great or memorable either. Restaurant setting was nice and the staff seemed friendly enough, but overall just an ordinary experience."

"The worst Japanese tempura I have ever had & the prawn was rotten I advised them and they just replaced the prawn with out any real concern. Frankly they could care less I would never go back!"

"Fantastic ramen in a small spot. It's to go orders only but you can sit outside. The owner super nice came out told us about his other restaurants in downtown Claremont. Which it turns out we've also eaten there. And no surprise that's excellent as well. Check out House of pong in Claremont."
