"I went to this cafe on September 11 with my friend. My friend she was the fan of this restaurant’s fried chicken and she suggested us to have a dinner there. The night we went there the fried chicken was a disaster. It was not eatable at all. Neither I nor my friend could even have more than a bite. We let the waitress know about the taste but they didn’t accept our complaint and said the taste is as usual. That was my worst experience ever at a restaurant in Vancouver."

"Really good quality fish, love the decor in the restaurant. definitely glad we drove the extra few minutes to try this place out. my only wish would be easier parking as its on the corner of 2 busy streets. we paid to park a block away at the easypark lot."

"Such a scam. Ordered this oden soup from the menu, first picture is how it looks and the second is what we received. When we asked the server why it didn’t look anything like the picture they rudely told us its just an image and what is our problem. What is the point of putting pictures on the menu if the real serving looks nothing like it? Over all not a good experience."

The prices are surprisingly reasonable, making it accessible for a wide range of diners. We tried both cold and hot udons, and each had their unique, intricate flavors and textures that wowed us. The side dishes were equally impressive, featuring fried burdock and squid that were cooked to perfection. The specialty udons are a must-try. Probably the top authentic udon shop in the lower mainland"

"I love this restaurant!! Me and my husband are almost regulars of this restaurant for many years. The quality has always been very good; food is always fresh, healthy and tasty. "Japanese Bistro Hatzu is located on Davie Street Vancouver, which is across the street from the Greek Food Restaurant. We’ve been to this restaurant only once by accident. We actually planned to have a Greek Food, but there were so many people waiting outside the restaurant. In this way, we decided to find some other restaurant nearby. Japanese Bistro Hatzu is a few minutes walking and across the street, so we decided to go there. We arrived the restaurant right during the dinner time. The restaurant was busy. After a few minutes waiting, we got a table and server let us move in. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and clean. All the servers were really nice and friendly. They all wear the uniform. When they saw you confused about the menu, some of them would come to you to help. We ordered Sashimi Don, Beef Teriyaki, and Tofu Teriyaki. The food came fast Sashimi was really fresh. Beef and Tofu Teriyaki were well cooked and tasted great."

"Excellent value for money downtown. There are many sushi parlors downtown, but for food quality and variety as well as quick preparation Urban Sushi is one of my favorites. They could do better with the cleanup of the tables after the sitting guests left."

"Fantastic sushi. Huge pieces of sashimi! The volcano roll was so delicious. Great friendly service. All the staff, including the chefs, welcomed us on our way in and all thanked us on the way out. A must try."
