"First time at Katsuya and to say I was impressed by the service and food is an understatement. The entire staff was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to provide recommendations and information on the dishes. We had gotten a little bit of everything off the menu to try it all and every bite was a culinary experience. The flavors/ingredients in each dish went together perfectly for a fresh light but filling dinner. Our waiter and the manager, went above and beyond to provide a truly unforgettable experience for our first time at the establishment. I will definitely be going back before the work trip is over. Thank you to the entire team and cooks you?ve made this trip exceptional. Worth every penny! Order consisted of: Spicy Tuna crispy rice Creamy Mushroom Warm Salad Crispy Brussel sprouts amazing King crab tempura best thing I?ve personally ever had Lobster Roll Wagyu fried rice so fresh and flavorful Chawanmushi dessert out of this world"

"I came to Shan Shi Go with one of my sushi friends. We have decided to sit on the sushi bar instead of sitting as if you can do this, you can do Grandmakase instead of the set menu. I don't think it's officially listed on their printed menus with a price, but it's really good. The sushi kitchens know their stuff and come with amazing combos. The service is really fast and the whole place is super clean. I would definitely recommend coming if you want to make Grandmakase in Newport or if you just like sushi."

"I recently got the sushi kit from the Umezushi store and it was really fabulous and really good quality! the fish was fresh and delicious. I was concerned about how the fish wanted to be sent to me, but the way it was packed ensured that the fish arrived in perfect condition. I was really impressed with that. also the amount of fish was more than enough to feed people, I would say that it could even feed people (we were really fighting at the end haha). I enjoyed making the sushi with my friends after the videos, although the product result was not the best, it still tasted super!"

"The place is fantastic ... a Covid adjusted combined menu of East and Tcqueville, while seafood sushi heavy allow for sufficient breadth for all palates. The food is as good as it has been for the last years since opening and on top of that they created a tasteful outdoor area which makes you forget that you are eating in the street. Staff is super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable so there is really nothing left to desire"
