"Good service generally, but a bit slow. I think they forgot our order. Manager gave my mum shot of umeshu cause it was her bday. We had the emperor sushi set, agedashi tofu, vege tempura. Love all of these. Also had teriyaki chicken, not very good, too salty. Overall would recommend."

"Lovely little Japanese restaurant in Rhodes central. Does get very busy so would recommend booking a few days in advance, or be prepared to wait for walk in. Highlights were the i) teriyaki chicken in the oyakodon. Juicy chicken thigh, the skin was crispy and tasted almost caramelised! ii) sushi rolls. Huge rolls packed with an assortment of fillings, great value for money. Karaage chicken was a little on the dry side. Chawanmushi was very average, and apparently contained foie gras and mushroom which were barely detectable."

"My favourite Japanese restaurant in Neutral bay. They’re definitely a hidden gem a lot of people go to izakaya samurai their sister restaurant but the flavours at Tamageta ya are so much better (And a little cheaper too what a bonus! If you are a fan of eggplant come and try the agedeshi eggplant and eggplant dengaku. There is more effort put into making these dishes and the flavours just work so well together. Customer service is also great here."

"I've been here twice now and enjoyed my meals both times. Cute store (restaurant combined with gift shop), so it's pleasing to the eye. However I wasn't a fan of the order and pay at counter first setup I feel it didn't quite match the vibe I was getting based on the store design. However I would definitely recommend to anyone that enjoys Japanese cuisine."

"I ordered a Saba shio-yaki and fell in love on the first bite. The fish was fresh and cooked just right. It goes so well with the steamed rice and the small bowl of miso soup with curly fried tofu. After the scrumptious lunch, I ordered the Matcha Anmitsu. That was very satisfying. It's got a very nice matcha flavoured ice cream with so many fruits and adzuki beans. My new favourite dessert when in Market city. I will definitely be coming back. Service was fast and staff members were friendly."

"Bar H is very casual. Do not dress up like it is fine dining because I somehow got this memo. Food was spectacular and so was our waitress. We had the oysters (not cold enough although creamy , smoked salmon sashimi (this was yum! , dumplings (so good, with a hit of sourness , soba noodles with enoki and scallops (creamy, I lost my taste buds during this dish as I was sick , the rib eye (phenomenal!!!! paired with the side rice dish with fish roe (recommended with the steak . <br/ <br/ Tables were so close to each other given the size of the bar, so I had to try my best to zone out of eavesdropping the tables on my left and right."

"The Salmon Sashimi Don $15) made for a lighter counterpoint against the meatiness of the ramen. Once again, I was delighted with the generosity of the serving size. The salmon was thickly sliced, and each bowl came with a bowl of miso soup, and a garden salad with citrus-soy dressing. And like the ramen, although the taste and quality weren’t anything worth writing home or on the blog) about, it was more than sufficient, and left me satisfied"

"There is a curious little Japanese restaurant above the Campsie Station called Ishiyama Japanese Dining. I was always interested in trying but if we were ever in Campsie, it was usually quite early in the morning and the restaurant wasn’t even opened yet. One day we were around Campsie a bit later in the afternoon, so I took the chance to try going to the restaurant. The restaurant was pretty small and heavily decorated with Japanese ornaments."

"The best japanese food i ever had in sydney (i mean, locally this place is amazing for us). Food was great, staffs were friendly and the place is homie. We ordered 1 set of unagi don (great portion, including eel rice, miso soup and salmon sashimi) for 28$. Takoyaki is great, too. Could have ordered warm sake but, the meal was great. Highly recommended"
