"Food portion is good , Service isnt . We came 40mins before closing which should have been enough time to finish our dinner . Did not make our food till almost closing , rushed us out of the restaurant , took our food we are still eating chopsticks in Hand without asking if we are done . We packed our own food to go . You can check your in-store Surveillance Cameras .To the Owner , we talked before i left . : Ps. To the Servers , $38 meal , treated like this . Given a $50 Bill , dont ask if we want change . You were still tipped $5 ."

"We purchased our sushi dinner from Sakura Sunday August 15th before the dinner rush. We asked for extra ginger and extra spicy sauce (on our spicy tuna). I expected a charge and there was a charge for each of those but not only was there no ginger, there was no extra sauce. There wasn’t even a regular amount of sauce on the smallest rolls I have ever seen (there was hardly anything in the rolls). Our spicy tuna rolls (we ordered 6 rolls) has nothing in them and actually a drop of spicy sauce on the pieces. The tuna in them was not the worst but it wasn’t super fresh either. The dynamite rolls were awful, almost inedible. The roll was 5 super small sparse rolls with no flavour. The California rolls were pretty good overall. And the kappa rolls were TERRIBLE. The were tasteless and so stale. It would not surprise me if the were ready made rolls o just packed up for us. The edamame beans were okay, no sea salt on them. On arrival, after picking up my order I asked for extra soy sauce and they lady looked at me like I was asking her to empty the cash register. She responded by saying she had already put some in the bag. I said yes, thank you, may I please get a few more (we always get extra). She said she gave one pack per roll. I again repeated my request for more, she paused and hesitantly grab 3 more packets and put them in our bag. We were sorely disappointed in the our meal, not only were the rolls teeny and sparse, the prices went up (not atypical nowadays with restaurants recovering etc), we were charged for extras we did not get and there was almost no wasabi in our containers. We usually have extra wasabi and this time, not only was there no extra, but two people had to scrape all the wasabi out of 5 portions/meals and it still wasn’t enough. Would not recommend and we will definitely order from other sushi restaurants in Parksville next time (Sushi ichi or Nemo sushi or somewhere else for sure)."

"We arrived a little before opening time, 11:58AM ... We were the first in the restaurant... We know what we wanted, so we were ready to order right away... In the meantime, more people showed up, which is fine... The lone server came to get our order about 10 minutes later... And then, we waited, and waited... Our order was very simple... My wife had order a tuna steak, and I ordered a Ume sushi plate and a spicy tuna roll,,, And then we sat there , seeing take-out orders out the door, and everybody that came after us being served their food, finished and pay.... We finally get our food at 12:50 .... 50 minutes wait for a tuna steak and few sushi... Totally frustrating, and needless to say that we will never be back in this restaurant. So get there if you have time to spare :("
