"Union Jack Tavern Makati, a former bar called Murphy's, is a British pub and restaurant that serves a variety of authentic British dishes. It looks intimidating from the front, but the place looks cozy inside. And that's exactly what the owners envisioned having a pub for foreigners and locals to just watch the game or meet up with friends with their favorite beer and barchow. In addition to the usual barchow, there are fish and chips and cakes, which are good for lunch or dinner. <br>

I personally enjoyed the fish and chips. For P425 you get a large, battered fish platter that is served with huge french fries. Squeeze some lemon on the fish and off you go. This was really enough to satisfy my protein fixation! <br>

"Tea republic is one of my favorite dining out place when our office is still a few steps away from pacific star -both because of the convenientness and the eating that I order in the rule pasta here, as I find their sandwiches had too much brot in comparison to the actual filling. I've already tasted their lasagne and pasta with garnels. both were good - the lasagne was cheesy, and the latter was spicy that I loved their desserts are also quite good. I have tasted the mango torte and this soft, chewing keks served with vanillaeis they also serve really good ice cream. my top selection is the berry passion tea--very fruity and quite refreshing"

"Topping the already tasty buko pandan with vanilla ice cream made it more heavenly to my palate. The buko shreds were aplenty and crunchy and the pandan-flavored gelos gave it a fresh and more profound flavor. Truly a glass of happiness."

"Restaurant specializing in Japanese style eel. So far it the best eel place I've been around Makati. Quality is superb for all the food including the tofu. Its the few legit japanese place where japanese expats go to for lunch. It is pricey but understable as ingredients they use are fresh."

You can choose what type of bread you want, what vegetables to add, and what dressing to use. And they don't limit the vegetables you want on your sandwich either. I always urge the staff to put everything on my sandwich. What's great is that they have discounts for employees. They show which companies receive discounts on a daily basis. <br>

My only concern is the ventilation. Hope they have a better kitchen exhaust system as the smell of the food sticks to clothes (even if you just stay there for a while)."

"Try to get your Choco Cro fresh out of the oven. The size is just right. Crunchy and full of chocolate goodness. They have seasonal offerings like matcha, strawberry, sesame, etc that are equally good. I haven't tried anything else as I buy the Choco Cro take away every time I visit. Great cinema snack too."
