"Oh, my God! Just my favorite meal in Des Moines. We were happy and I couldn't be happier. The service was great, everyone was so nice! I thought portion sizes were great for the price. Food quality was amazing. If you go and don't get the steamed rolls, do it wrong! Overall, I would recommend going here especially for Happy Hour! I can't wait to go back."

"Coming from Miami, very impressed with the quality of the food. Some things are weird, like putting cheese on pan con lechon, but I just ordered it without. Flavors hit well. There’s also a very cool basement that’s worth checking out. Pan con lechon: 8/10 Tostones: 6/10 a little too thin and soft Moros: 8/10"

"If there was a 10 rating I would absolutely rate it! I have eaten at this place one other time and had a wonderful experience food is phenomenal. However, I chose to rate them tonight after eating there again because the place was packed, but the staff was so on point customer service was over the top. I even mentioned to my fiancé that for the staff to be as happy, helpful to go completely out of their way to make you feel like you are the most important person in the room is a sign of a great owner/manager!!!! As a person who is self employed, running my own business, that stands out to me the most so very important for a successful business. I don't have a boss, but work along side another business owner which if they weren't so adamant about customer service treating the employees with respect I wouldn't be associated with or working with them. Keep up the good work!!!"

"Good vegan options, clearly marked. The tofu banh mi was especially delicious. The vegetarian chili was filling and delicious. I like the variety of hot sauces they keep on hand. This is a great place to meet up with a group."

"This is our second visit to Bubba. This is my 17 year old sons favorite place so naturally we came to celebrate his birthday. We we very disappointed to be sat in the actual worst place in the restaurant. In a busy hallways to the kitchen, bathrooms and to the upstairs seating. The sererywas attentive but barely cordial. Bubba did not treat our visit as special in anyway, which is unfortunate for my son."
