"Very good friendly service, good food, good size portion excellent value for her money. we only go occasionally because its 1hr 3/4 drive from home about 60 miles. we are both vegans his so beautiful to go somewhere have a selection of several elements on the menu."

"Booked a room for when we reached nearby as an overnight stop on our way to Loch Awe. Our room, number 6, was superb, very large, a super-king bed with really comfortable mattress. En-suite bathroom, plenty of hot water. Scrumptious evening meal and breakfast. We took our dog and she was made welcome by the excellent host and staff. There is a large area of grass at the rear of the hotel for dogs, and good parking. Twelve days later we rang on our journey back to see if they had a room on the off chance and they offered us number 6 again which was absolutely perfect. Marks out of ten? Eleven! Thank you so much for a marvellous Scottish welcome."

"This beautiful cafe in the agnew park at the stranraer seafront is very popular with local and with tourist through. callum is the chef and his wife magda leads the cafe/bistro. it is affordable and very good quality eating here, with a meat or vegetarian menu available and some gluten-free options. or they can only choose a coffee and a cake or a scones. many customers outside when we visited, with bikes and dogs welcome. huge parking near and public toilets."

"Visited with some old friends for a spot of lunch. The staff were friendly and polite. It was quite busy with what looked like some local folk and visitors and was nice to see people chatting and enjoying themselves. The place was clean and tidy. The menu choice was great for somewhere in the middle of nowhere...a real oasis! We had a selection of food from homemade soup quiche..all was delicious, the salad bar is a fabulous idea and very generous. We finished with coffee, (which was a great cuppa) but too full for cake. My friend did take a slice of fruit cake home and later told me it was lovely. Well done to all for making this community run hub cafe a lovely spot to meet and we wish you every success."

"Lovely cosy place and most of the food was good, however, my husband and I ordered burgers and they were over cooked and rubbery. The lady came to ask if all was ok and my husband told her the burgers weren’t very nice but she just walked away and didn’t acknowledge our complaint at all. I couldn’t eat my burger (with chilli) the cost was over £16 so not cheap.. The other meals and the starters and deserts were fine, if a little overpriced, but I probably wouldn’t return due to the lack of customer service when mentioning a negative."

"Had a great time at this park. very friendly site with a great staff who cant do enougth to help. good on you paul. on arrival there was tea bags jar of coffee sugar bread and eggs. perfect place for a nice chill out. had...a great wee club with entertainment. a shop is just next to the camp gates handy for newspaper in the morning all and all just a grand wee place to visit. hope to return soon."
