"Visited in January for a Tuna, Pesto, Mozzarella and sunblush tomato ciabatta. It was lovely, really tasty combination of flavours. Everything looks fresh and well presented and the staff are always friendly. Chicken Ciabatta is good too. Only downside: There is a small seating area...in the front of the shop but only fitting around 10 at any one time making it difficult to eat in. Tables set available outside dependent upon the weather."

"Called into Costa Arnold this morning, queued near the door, sign said masks must be worn in store. . The member of staff behind counter continually asked me to wait outside even though there was only one waiting in front of me. No one, including staff were wearing g masks inside, and after being delayed for 5/10 minutes, for no good reason, we came away. Don 't think we will be going back to Costa Arnold as I thought the staff member was rude and condisending. Not happy to be honest."

"Tried to book for 7.00 told only 6.45 was available. Arrived and told to find a seat. Some people having a drink but all left by 7.15. Ordered food and took an age to come. Burger lukewarm. 3 steak pies hot but veg, mash and gravy cold. Staff got us more gravy. Also cold. More gravy. Well a teaspoon full warm. No one else came in. Staff were nice but food dreadful. Won’t be back."

"We had a table of 13 on saturday 2nd april and all i can say is we wont be visiting again. The food was very slow arriving, the staff seemed to get mixed with the tables even though they had big numbers in the middle...and were food was given to other tables. When speaking to the manager about the service he didnt give a dam, just walked off saying nothing. To many people for the amount of staff. interested in clearing tables rather then serving the ones that were occupued. Very disappointing"

"A real shame really. It's a lovely pub in a great location. Three outdoor areas. It overlooks the river trent and is in an idyllic spot! The few times I've been in recently, it's been a bit of a shambles. Getting drinks at the bar is painfully slow. There has been a queue each time I've been in. The drinks are priced very reasonably, though! One week, we only ordered a couple of deserts on the app. It took 1.5 hour for them to arrive after repeatedly querying at the bar. The manager who eventually brought them out apologised and gave us a refund. The next week we ordered a lasagne with some sides and a burger. I don't like to be negative, but a fair and honest opinion is : It was well below par. For the price about £30 the food was terrible. Not only were the sides luke warm but the mains were very low quality and didn't look appetising. If the meal had been £15, I would still have been disappointed.I won't eat here again. Also, there was no toilet paper in the loos! I hope they manage to turn this place around. It could be they are just having a bad couple of weeks! Its a lovely pub with friendly staff and could be great! For good food and another river view, I would recommend The Unicorn. Ten minutes up the road. Edit : I have tried several more meals here and they have improved. I have increased the rating to reflect it."
