"We’re so happy we visited these gorgeous gardens and had a lovely meal at this restaurant. A tip is to arrive right at opening so you can choose the best seat, which is staring into the lovely adjacent koi pond! I had the Zenzai sweet red bean soup, which I’m fairly certain was vegan. It was a delicious warm meal! I also had their iced coffee here which was just what I needed."

"A must go to cafe in Himeji! Such delicious food in a cute and cozy setting! We stopped by for lunch after visiting Himeji castle and ordered the falafel salad set and the au gratin set with apple juice, coffee and a slice of American cherry pie. Everything was really delicious, and we ended up getting a “cranberry” (which turned out to be raspberry) muffin to go as well. We were also really impressed that pandemic safety measures were well implemented."

"5 minutes walk from the castle heavenji. a very friendly owner welcomed me. the restaurant is popular with local Japanese, and they can eat local Himeji cuisine in vegan. in particular udon, oden and tempura were the best. I'll be back."
