"Sunday Buffet Disappointed. Very basic food, no poppadoms, just onion bhaji and some potato rosti as starters, 3 choices of curries for main including a chickpea curry. Naam breads poor. Used to be really good, but the lack of customers and a poor atmosphere tells its own story. Living off past reputation. Won't be returning."

"Went for the 4 course set meal on the early bird menu. Good sized car park at the back of the restaurant. Always a bonus not having to search for a space or pay for it. Hot and sour soup was first. I wasn't over keen on it but my brother enjoyed his. We both ordered salt and pepper ribs. Decent sized portion and plenty on the ribs. Duck with pancakes was fine. For mains I ordered Chilli and Garlic chicken. My brother got the Beef Satay. Good sized portions and no shortage of chilli and garlic on my dish. I must apologies as I have forgot the name of the waitress who served us. She was excellent. Really on top of her job even when it got busy. Friendly and regularly checked everything was ok without being intrusive. For the price I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will try again someday."

"I have been getting food from Express for years and it just gets better, the food is delicious-my favourite being a mixed grill on naan bread with garlic sauce. The food is always hot on delivery and the staff are pleasant. Highly recommended."

"We decided to surprise my mum for her 93rd birthday with lunch at The Grey Mare. I called before Christmas to book the table of 8, explaining that my mum may be in her wheelchair. This was no problem for them. A couple of days...ago, we upped the numbers to 10, and they rearranged the tables to make this booking work. They were ready for us and made us so welcome. 2 of our party were a little late, but we didn't feel pressured to order, etc. When we did order, they amended some of the menu to fit our requirements. We had a vegan in the party, and there were options for them too. The food was great, and everyone was pleased with their choices.They even found a candle for mums dessert and sang happy birthday to her. I would definitely recommend The Grey Mare. Good food, reasonable prices, lovely views across the countryside and fabulous staff,who could want for more? Well done "
