"Stromufer vegan self-catering is a great place to relax, but time for reflexion, recharge, read and had a lot of time to go in the local areas without taking the car. as a vegan very appreciated that riverbank is fully vegan cooking and lifestyle dedicated. especially the love for detail, both in the bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, where environmentally friendly, organic and vegan products are used. linen is very soft, from vegan sources, wooden floors through the house, feeling warm and certainly a feeling rough of the environment. each room had a different atmosphere, the lounge to read daily and relax through the fire in the night, the kitchen where I enjoyed learning new vegan recipe for vegan Christmas cake, winter garden was a great place to be at one with nature and see amazing bird life. updated by previous review on 2020-12-01"

"This popular cafe had a queue outside waiting for it to open at 9:30am. We went for breakfast and there were plenty of vegan options. We opted for the waffles with yoghurt, cherry compote, fresh fruit and sticky lemon thyme seeds. They were divine. Great coffee too. Updated from previous review on 2022-06-18"

"I stayed here for a night with a friend last week and it was absolutely wonderful would highly recommend. beautiful rooms with excellent facilities and private bathroom, plus the breakfast was incredible! a really nice quiet location and excellent value for money. I come back for a longer stay if I can get in the future."

"Eating was nice enough, but we will not go again as we were disgusting that a veggie / vegan place hang a few puppy cases outside. surely it must be another more human species to deal with these pollinated ones."

"Not being vegan or vegetarian I was somewhat sceptical when my wife suggested we had lunch here. I must admit that I was very impressed with the food which was very tasty. The staff were very helpful,seating was available inside out with the portions generous. I will no longer scoff at the thought of eating in such establishments again if they are as good as the Waterside Cafe. I highly recommend a visit to try it for yourselves."

"A chef runs this operation. He knows what good ingredients are and how to combine them for a complex and layered flavor. I had the Bream with dill, carrots, and a sea vegetable. I'm oversimplifying the flavor in this review. The fish was cooked perfectly. Crisp on the edges, tender in the middle. My partner had the beef cheeks. As tender and flavorful as one would want. Easily the best eatery in Kendal, if you ask me."

"Having visited a few times Bancock7 is our favourite and in our opinion the best restaraunt in Kendal. We ate there with friends last monday, it was their first experience and they were blown away with the ambience, service and the food, this really is a hidden gem and one of the few places that I get genuinley excited about 10/10, superb in every way Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Spring Roll, Sticky Toffee Pudding, Red Curry, Lamb Shank Massaman Curry, Chocolate Fudge Cake, Weeping Tiger Steak, Penang Curry"

"My partner and I had a gorgeous vegan meal here on our last night of a Lakes trip and we LOVED the experience. The ambience and service was superb and the vegan roasted cauliflower masala main we both had was some kind of alchemy, we savoured every mouthful."
