"We could try the two vegan options on the menu that are both very pleasant. the curry had a nice mix of seasoned, and the noodles came with a rather pleasant peanut sauce. the noodles were beautiful and refreshing so they were a great meal for the hot weather. both meals came with an salate and tapioca dessert. the restaurant itself is cozy, even a little small."

"My husband and I were one night in this inn. We told them we were vegan when we reserved the room. We had a really nice stay and enjoyed the food and the bathroom. The first thing we noticed when we were in the room was that the cookies on the table had butter in them. We notified the owner about it and suggested that they find vegan guests for the next time. They were very responsive and thanked us for bringing them to their attention. Dinner was a lot of food for me, but everything was vegan! I saved my remains to eat lunch the next day. Breakfast was better for me (although I was still pretty crowded) but there were a few things that punished me. One was the Natto who came with a sauce package that I suspected could have fish extract. Another one was the pruned plum (umeboshi), which I suspected would have honey. There were also nori strips that sometimes have fish extract. I spoke my concerns about these things to the owner, and she said they will make sure and be more careful from now on. The trouble with food sometimes is that the cooks that make the food are not always vegan, so sometimes they make mistakes. Despite the few concerns I had, I would just like to say that I really appreciate them and I would like to support them to move forward. I still recommend you stay in this inn. And if you do, give them feedback if you have any concerns like me. You will hear and hopefully it will be better and better, the more people stay there."

"Update Nov. 11, 2022: We used to go here without making a reservation, but they told us today that we need to make a reservation to order vegan food at least one day in advance now. It 's unfortunate because that 's one less option of food we can eat on the fly. We rarely plan our lunches the day before, so we probably won 't be going very much anymore. Original Post: We visited the restaurant without making a reservation. There is another restaurant that has vegan options just around the corner, so we figured even if they didn 't have anything at this place we could just go to the other place again. We asked upon entering if they had any vegan food and they pointed to the Tsuyu-Yakisoba on the menu and said We can prepare this for vegans. Maybe if you make a reservation they have some other options, but on this day they only offered us the one option so we both got the vegan Tsuyu-Yakisoba. The soup was flavorful and it came with a side of tempura which consisted of mushrooms, pumpkin, and eggplant. There were also Japanese pickles (tsukemono) and some toppings for the soup (yakumi). The restaurant itself was very spacious and had both Japanese tatami-style seating as well as Western seating (table and chairs). We went for lunch at 11:00 on a Sunday. It wasn 't too crowded, but it also wasn 't empty. Only about 20~30% of the seats were filled while we were there. They took our temperatures upon arrival and had us fill out a form with our contact information just in case. Overall, it was nice. I was happy to be able to try the Tsuyu-Yakisoba which is a popular regional dish. It 's always good to have more vegan options in the area. Updated from previous review on 2021-09-20"

"I reserved the vegan teishoku lunch for 4 people more than a week in advance. Lunch was good and the atmosphere of the onsen is good. The timing was not ideal. The horses were very active and were quite irritating in the outdoor pools. They are only really active for a few weeks in August, so we chose to go quite the worst time. Also onsen is more pleasant when it is cooler outside. That day it was pretty hot. Next time I want to go in autumn. There is a mixed sex bath as well as several baths that are exclusive to men or women. I have never stayed here overnight, as the prices are quite high in summer, but it is very affordable to go only for the afternoon. Next time, I want to try their vegan noodles!"
