"I was looking for vegan food in Manila when I tripped upon 101 Hawker Food House. To be honest, I didn't care what kind of food it was as long as I could get vegan food. This large, well li restaurant is located in Makati and was easy to locate. I ordered the Kung Pao tofu and the set meal of bagoong rice with vegemeat, but they were out on the tofu dish. This was good as the bagoong rice platter was massive. I've traveled around the Philippines and haven't had many vegan dishes but for the occasional tokwat (tofu) dish. So to get a dish that was veganized was pretty amazing. Somehow they were able to make this traditional dish minus the shrimp paste. Its slightly sweet and yet savory taste had me going back for more. The green mango on top was the clincher for me. It was so good and affordable. I definitely recommend this place to any vegan looking for delicious food in Manila."

"4 star because the chat customer service rep named Thamo (hopefully I got the spelling right) from Food Panda, wasn't helpful at all. So I called Green Bar instead. I think I spoke with Laarni and kudos to her for being genuinely helpful & efficient! My food was delivered on time and my special request was included. Great job again to you, Laarni! Wishing that the chat customer service of Food Panda will improved!"

"This place looked sad before we even got in. two waiters stood outside on the counter and did not smile, as we demanded one table for two, although we were the second group of customers who showed up. it was lit, not in an intimate way, but rather like a way to save electricity. the menu was huge, but didn't seem like it was fresh in view of the low conversion rate. when we decided to order the vegetarian curry sampler, the waitress appeared confused and uncertain what it is that we ordered and whether it would be available at all. She went long to ask about it, and we thought that this was not a good sign. So we stopped leaving the ship and eating somewhere else. At the same time, she finally returned and seemed disappointed that we had gone after the attempt to order something. we have politely rejected her offer to stay, and we have her angry mother something in a non-English language and throw a menu. what a terrible place. avoid them at all costs."

"You can't help but fall in love with the simplicity and the humble interior of this restaurant. It's small and quite hidden, a perfect getaway with your friends or maybe even your relatives whenever you're into some warm, cosy meals at very reasonable prices. Despite the odd but extremely popular reputation of vegan food being soulless and bland, Wabi Sabi, like many other vegan/vegetarian restaurant nowadays, is anything but.<br>

We arrived at Wabi Sabi at about 8:20pm after a long walk. We weren't familiar with the place so we had to ask around.<br>

NOTE: Upon asking for directions, just mention The Collective and when you get there, just ask some of the waitresses to get to Wabi Sabi. You'll pass by the comfort rooms and then at the very straight end, you'll find Wabi Sabi beside Juicesabel (Another vegan/vegetarian restaurant that I ought to try next time) on the right side.<br>

"We rented a place nearby and wanted to eat dinner within the area. I suggested to check the Collective and we found Wabi-Sabi. The food that they serve are vegetarian meals.<br>

It was indeed a good choice! No guilt noodle soup! I ordered tomyum while my dad had viet pho. My mom and brother had tantanmen. We ordered those three because the others were not available. We also added harumaki for sharing. At first, we just ordered one harumaki until we ordered another and then another one! It was very flavorful and chewy. It's like fried tekamaki. The tomyum is sour, not much of a fan for the veggies that tasted odd but I enjoyed it especially the tofu and other cold cuts. The viet pho was like my tomyum except that it wasn't sour and had different toppings. I like the noodles used for tomyum and viet pho which was chewy. A different noodle compared to that of famous Chinese and Japanese cuisine. The tantanmen is sesame oil based so it's for people who like that kind. Although the noodles were just instant the veggies were fresh.<br>

The place was just small but I like their staff. They were very accomodating and friendly. I'll definitely be back for their harumaki!"

"One of my favorite breakfasts and merienda dishes in town today. My favorites are the grilled cheese and the pulled pork! As soon as you try it! I tell you, you will definitely love it! You also have the black gulaman who was so good. Very old gulaman. :) I recommend everything that is real! A good choice! :) #justsaying"
