"Set not far from Morlais castle and the quarry (good to have a walk there near the golf course and then come to the Aberglais after) it's in a good location with great views all around. Good home cooked style food and a cosy but small beer garden. The place does get busy during peak times with the carpark getting full, so better to pop in mid week. Various bottled ciders, cold pull beers and ales on tap. They always seem to have at least one felinfoel ale on tap (last time it was double dragon). Bar area is a bit too modern for my tastes (it would have been nice to have it a bit more traditional/rustic). Can't go wrong (good to have a walk down the road as well with good walks near a former train station and old hotel which closed long ago). Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4"

"Absolutely shocking service in here. We visited on a Saturday LUNCHTIME! And weren't even sat a few minutes before being told they had no chips, and most of the menu was unavailable!! On a Saturday?!! Staff weren't exactly nice about it either! They didn't even apologize. What the hell is going on?"

"We had a Taj takeaway tonight after months of not being able to and we realised how much we missed it. Both our meals were absolutely delicious and piping hot. I am a vegan and they are really helpful and accommodating and knowledgeable about ingredients which goes a long way for me. My curry was full of flavour. My boyfriend is a meat eater and he loved his meal too."

"Held a funeral wake here mid May 2022. Small funeral. Ordered buffet for 20 people. The food was extremely tasty and was enough for 30 to 35 people. Everything was well organised. The atmosphere was good the staff very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. We were even supplied with large polystyrene boxes to take left over food home. The cost of the buffet was extremely reasonable and I would definitely recommend this pub/restaurant for any gathering."

"A few days ago in these invite thrown in for an salat. I have zöliakie, so I always ask to change gloves to minimize the risk of cross-contamination. I was served by a beautiful dame called chloe, which was no longer suitable for my nutritional requirements. she took the time to make my salad on the back without asking her to do what I appreciate. 10/10 customer service:"
