"Had a great risotto with asparagus. Chef came to our table and explained that he can also cater for individual wishes, especially vegan/vegetarian. Very friendly and nice place!"

"Wir haben schon viele Pizzen gegessen und machen selber viel, da wir einen eigenen Pizzaofen haben. Das soll nicht heißen aber ich glaube da können wir schon mitreden. Diese war echt schon perfekt und wir würden sie gerne wieder essen.Bedienung können wir nicht negatives sagen, im Gegenteil der italienische älter Kellner war nett und gesprächig. Preise passen auch.Super"

"We went after a long journey to dinner and very hungry. the menu looked very welcoming and the meals were excellent accompanied by local beer and wine from tirol. the other guests and waitress were very friendly and let us feel like we were not. only traveling."

"Although Jay and I are regular visitors to Mittenwald we had not been in the Hochland before, (there are so many great places to eat and drink here). On our first visit we were all made really welcome by the very cheerful owner, Rita could not have been more pleasant. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to book a table later in the week ensuring that Jay would get a vegan meal of her choosing. Our choices were Spaghetti with tomato sauce for Jay, Steaks for our friends and Ritas recommendation of the local fried meat specialty for me with local beer, great. This is very much a locals restaurant and can get very busy even on week day nights. The food, drink, service and whole ambiance was great, we couldn't have been made more welcome. If you're going to Mittenwald we can highly recommend this restaurant, we will be returning sometime soon."

"This is a beautiful coffeehouse that has delicious simple meals and soups. The coffee has a great taste and aroma and they also have a good selection of high quality teas. The owner and his wife are super friendly and nice. The shop also opens...to a small store where you can buy local wines and products."

"It's a little longer story! My parents booked the Post Hotel last year 2021 in August. Unfortunately, the night from the 14th to the 15.7 caused us this terrible flood disaster in Ahrtal. Since my partner and I lost our entire Hab and Good at this catastophe and we were homeless from today on tomorrow, my parents cancelled the holiday in Mittenwald. The Post Hotel took the cancellation of the room without further costs. Sometime later we had mail from Mittenwald. A free invitation to the Post Hotel for a week half board! We were so happy and happy about this invitation! Now, in August 2022, over 1 year after the disaster we were here! Infinitely gratitude for the invitation, sometimes 1 week see something different than destruction, and let the soul dangle 1 week. Thank you very much for the team of Post Hotel Mittenwald. The Post Hotel is very nice, well maintained, is central in the middle of the forest, the staff is very nice and the kitchen is top. Rich breakfast, and dinner is great! We would recommend the Post Hotel without invitation. The wellness area with a direct view of the Karwendel is the hammer. There is Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and the Mini Bar is always filled! Due to the central location of the hotel everything can be reached ruck zuck. In this sense, dear Post Hotel, thank you for the beautiful and relaxing time with you! To the next time in the beautiful Mittenwald"
