"A great initiative with the message of healthy living in a fitting setting. On the ground level of the atune health facility. This plant based cafe offers a range of plant based goods for most occasions during the day. We tried a few, all which looked good on the menu. Unfortunately it became unexpectedly busy for the small team and wait times were subsequently a little longer. I don 't think the resulting product suffered as the customer service of the competent young lady behind the counter running the front of house certainly didn 't. She greeted us and made us feel welcome and let us know three could be a short wait as the caught up with orders. The leek soup was really great. The Mediterranean toastie was also flavoursome and definitely guilt free due to the healthy portion of brown rye bread. The pancakes were tasty in the centre and the accompaniments were not missed and delicious but not overpowering. The outer edges of the pancake stack however were tough and brittle. Our iced drinks with vegan icecream were OK also, simple and the extra icecream was forgotten initially but we could see strain on the team. Thank you for providing our community with a well placed healthy alternative."

"They found them on the first newcastle vegan market. they store a large selection of vegan cheeses from all over Australia. their website is also great and they actually deliver the cheese in isolated packages with ice sheets to keep the cheese cool and can update to a polystyrene box if they are worried when they live in a particularly regional area"

"My go to for super tasty vegan sushi in Newcastle! They have at least 5 different kinds of sushi Inari, vegan Mayo in their pumpkin sweet chilli roll, summer rolls also available! Priced about $4 per roll on average. Super friendly staff. Great location to the left of the Coles entrance. Limited seating but a good grab and go. After 4pm the rolls reduce to $2.50 each an easy quick dinner to take to the beach to watch the sunset (if you’re into that)."

"A small but busy Ethiopian restaurant in King Street. If you eat with your hands, your waitress washes your hands first. We had a banquet where we got beef and veggiesaubusi for a guest, and we chose to share 5 main dishes. The net comes with unlimited packages (gluing free). The food was delicious. A pleasant night and worth a visit if you have never eaten here."
