"Everyone is made welcome at this amazing community pub. All staff and regulars are polite and friendly. The choice of ales and quality is fantastic. There is simple food, sandwiches, quiche etc on offer but, there is a monthly Sunday roast menu, which booking is...required, there are food theme nights plus a monthly visit from Curryjacks. There is a quiz night, community allottment and plenty more on offer at this little gem of a pub. It is very dog friendly has a wonderful beer garden along with The Kennel a small room available for private use."

"Great Find In Navenby today finding the Urban Cafe after a good mornings walk. Friendly efficient service with a smile and plenty of choice including Ice Creams. We had coffees and a toastie and jacket tate which were well presented and very tasty. Good outside...seating as well and will be back."

"The 3 stars I 've given were based on my experience and not the food as unfortunately we didn 't order anything to eat. Upon arriving, we came to a sign saying please wait here to be seated . A young lady gave us a table number to accommodate our party of five, but we weren 't seated by her and went in the direction she showed (could of done this all by ourselves, unsure why she was there as not very busy). Only one menu, limited choice in price range variation. Would of liked a bacon bap, but this was on the breakfast menu and only served 9-11am I believe, so not an all day option for whatever reason. There were absolutely no sandwiches to chose from if you wanted a light bite and it was a case of get up and order at the till. Absolutely fine with that but when you see some of the pricing of the food, £18.50 for Haddock and Chips, I 'd of expected table service because those prices are definitely restaurant and not cafe rates. Seems Doddington aren 't sure which it is. We went into Lincoln for lunch in the end. Castle area, near the bail, where you can get excellent Fish and Chips for £15.95, from a proper fish restaurant and be waited on too. At the other end of the scale, there 's places that offer delicious homemade scone and toasties incase you are unable to stomach a heavy meal on a hot midday. No bank loan needed in the big city of Lincoln! Such a shame, Doddington Hall and Gardens were beautiful and staff very helpful, friendly and informative. Food pricing at cafe/restaurant really is expensive and capitalize on people not wanting to travel elsewhere for food. (Soft drinks and coffees were on par with everywhere else though)"

"Pros: • Nice setting. • Friendly staff. • Reasonably priced. • Decent starters. Cons: • We turned up on time but our starters didn’t appear for another hour. To be fair, the gap between our starters and main meal wasn’t too bad. • The roast...potatoes were underdone and the Yorkshire puddings were overdone; I could have more readily accepted this if it was the other way round. Our wait for the starter prevents me from rating this more than two stars as it’s not the first time we’ve had the same problem at the Turks Head. It’s a shame as there’s potential for a decent restaurant here."

"We are on the road with our camper. At this pub/restaurant you can spend the night for free when you come to eat here. Well you definitely should. The restaurant area is separate from the pub. Very cozy and attractively decorated. Nice menu with something for everyone. The food was delicious, hot and generous portion. Highly recommended. The owner came over for a chat. We were also allowed to fill up with water for free. An amazing experience. Vegetarian options: It is indicated exactly behind a dish whether it is vegetarian. Also vegan and gluten free. Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible for a wheelchair. Small threshold at the entrance."

"What great place to eat. Just off the main street by a stream, perfect place for lunch. Plenty on offer from tea cakes to jacket potatoes breakfasts. Superb coffees hot chocolates. A busy cafe with good atmosphere."

"A caffe with halfway for us to house, always managed to get a decent meal and cup tee from here. note a change of menu/possible property at this weekend visit. still edible and tricked. selection of homemade jams and can be available naiw."
