"If everything else (vegan) is closed or already sold out (as yesterday) in this small mountain town we have always happy with some good, simple, healthy vegan food and drink! unfortunately we just found out that they use ghee (purified butter) to make their so-called vegan samosas! very disappointing! updated by previous review on 2021-07-30"

"Colorful and traditional place in the centre of Tepoztlan. They offer a variety of traditional Mexican clamps such as beans, guacamole, nopales (cactus leaves), Quesadillas, Tlacoyos, etc. Servers are not familiar with veganismo, but you can simply order things without cheese and they will be vegan. I recommend ordering guacamole, beans (without cheese), nopalsalat, and quesadillas or tlacoyos (without cheese or sour cream). All we had was really fresh and delicious. We ordered huitlacoche and squash flour and mushroom--flor de calabaza con champiñones-quesadillas and they were delicious! The staff is friendly and serviceable, but do not expect them to speak English. Food comes fast and everything is great. Unattended, but only cash!"

"Maybe it doesn't offer comfy seating, however this place offers a magnificent offer of veggie foods! I'm taking amaranth, hibiscus, nopal, nuts, insects and meat. All prepared in delightful and delicious ways. The staff is super friendly and the food is amazing. Prepare yourself to indulge in prehispanic dishes!"

"Beautiful store with fresh, organic local produce, cereals, dried beans, chickpeas, rice, even buckwheat, noodles, bread, green and black olives in brine, vegan cheeze, teas, essential oils and much more.
