"Been here few times and I really like this Peet's. What i like is that people seem to know each other, like its a family owned. Studied here few times and wasnt so loud. I did come at times where it was super loud and that I did not like. Their staff are really nice and professional. I had been helped by Jesse and few others, all have great manners and are wonderful plus coffee is good. Def return and recommend to everyone. They have variety of non dairy milk, creams which is nice. good coffee"

"We took our girls for a Christmas Eve dinner and we’re so happy to see how kid friendly it was. We’ve been before with no kids. We ordered our cocktails and the girls dinner which came out quickly and it allowed us to enjoy our appetizers and our drinks. Our server Megan was super friendly and attentive. Even all the servers kept circulating to take away any unused plates which is a big plus since tables aren’t really big to hold all the food at once. We plan to take our girls again ! Items ordered. Clams. Kids pizza and burger. The Burger and the pork belly tacos. All delicious!"

"My family loves Chinese food- our go to restaurant in Camarillo (Chester’s Asia) seems to have suffered like many other restaurants during the pandemic. The last time we ate there the food was bland and lifeless apparently a different chef than Pre-Covid. Peking Chinese in Ventura had several positive reviews so we decided to give it a try. Overall it was a positive experience, aided by a pleasant atmosphere and extremely cordial and efficient waitress. Chicken and pine nuts in lettuce- was tasty but just OK. Chester’s gives you a larger portion, is more flavorful and they prepare it at your table with a nice plum sauce. Kung Pao Shrimp- was OK too. The portion was small although for the size there were a good number of shrimp. The flavor was good but we asked for it spicy and it was not. Schezuan Eggplant- excellent flavor and good-size portion- a keeper. Crispy Duck was tasty, good portion but difficult to remove the meat from the bones. We don’t get to eat duck hardly ever so it was enjoyable with a nice sauce. Pork Lo Mein (soft noodle) we’ve had better lo mein this was nothing special at all. Seafood Chow Fun- was the best dish of all. Generous portion, excellent flavor, was thoroughly delicious. As with any new restaurant it takes a few trips to find out what they do well and what not so well. Price wise some of the dishes were a good value, others not so much. Next time the Chinese food craving arises we’ll definitely give the Peking Restaurant another go. We visited at lunchtime and ran into a large contingent of Buena High School students. While putting on my mask outside the restaurant, the wind blew it away and one of the students bent down to grab it for me before it disappeared. While inside the restaurant a group of 5 students sat near us and they were all polite, quiet and respectful. Kudos to Buena High School!"

"I love this place! Their pizza is delicious, Their lemonade is wonderful, and they have plenty of toppings to choose from! My favorite pizza to get is a build your own pizza, Classic Crust, Red Sauce, 1 half of the pizza with Mozzarella, the other half Parmesan, Pepperoni, Black Olives, Artichoke, Broccoli, and Oregano! But I?ve had a variety of pizzas from them. I?ve only tried a bite of their Brownies, but the Brownies are good too! I would most definitely recommend this place to my friends :"

"When I say we've been coming to this restaurant for years... I mean 15+ years! We started coming when a guy named Roger owned it and then Margaret and her husband bought it from him. We come here for every special occasion: Mother's day, Father's day, birthdays, anniversaries, etc you name it. They cook genuine Chinese cuisine. Margaret is an amazing chef and everything she serves us you can tell was made with love. We usually order the same things : chili wontons, steamed fish with ginger /scallions, eggplant with ground pork, extra crispy orange beef, pan fried three flavor noodles, green beans, honey walnut or fried whole shrimp, and sometimes when it's really special.. We get the Peking duck. For some reason I've never left a review and maybe that's just because I'm lazy. But Margaret does such an amazing job cooking up the best Chinese cuisine, her restaurant is always busy! She knows my family and always makes sure she comes to our table to say hi. Sometimes she'll even send us a freshly made plate of her sesame red bean balls for dessert! I'll always continue to come here because there just isn't any other Chinese restaurant as authentic and delicious as hers in the Ventura County."
