"'Went for Diaria, advertised at 7.50 Euros all inclusive. Had the soup, meal, dessert and coffee, with only water and no wine. The meal, carne assada, was OK but lots of fat, the soup honestly tasted like dishwater with a few bits of cabbage and carrot floating in it, could not eat it all. Mousse Chocolat too thick and rich, it was a passable meal but nothing special. Then we were charged 12 Euros each, have no idea why but way beyond what was expected. I know others who go for the daily meal and pay only the 7.50 Euros so I am wondering why we were charged so much. We have lived in the Alto Minho area for many years so not tourists and not used to such poor quality. There are lots of daily meals which are excellent. They are planning to host an ex-pat lunch there next month and I just wonder if it will be as bad. I will be passing along this information to the group. I can only hope that something better is on offer. I will definitely not return, far better elsewhere."

"Very fresh, healthy food offered and prepared by the owner himself. Loved the Homestyle vibe and the food presentation... and the taste was excellent. The time we visited was offered us a soup option and two different participants (no menu; I suppose it changes daily). I wish I had made a picture of the food because it was nice. Great job!"

"Went there while wandering in Viana during the August Agonia fest. Initially I found the place a bit hot, but fast I host used to it. The lady that runs the place and served us is very very friendly and also gentle with our kids. We were 8 and took the vegetables soup and several other dishes. Everything was great, with good taste. Options are few, but honestly, I prefer like that (less options, easier to chose). The deserts were also great: chocolate cake, carrot cake and greek yogurt. No queues and fast service. I recommend if you're looking for a cozy, small place for a small group or couple."

"Very good food at a reasonable price. Great location and very friendly staff. Prawn tempura starter was excellent- crisp batter and punchy chilli sauce. Cod and onions main was well cooked with fabulous potatoes. Lemon pudding was outstanding. Wine reasonably priced. Strangely other restaurants around were much busier but our meals were great."
