"A friend and I stopped in for lunch on a warm Sunday afternoon after a movie at the Nova. Even though it was after 2pm we were welcomed and were promptly issued menus and water and asked what we would like to drink. Didn't have to wait long to have our orders taken. I opted for Fettucine with Seafood and my friend had the beef burger. I loved my fettucine. Seafood in tomato sauce can sometimes be a little underwhelming, burying the seafood flavour in a weak and watery tomato sauce but this definitely was not the case here. The sugo was rich and thick, very flavoursome but not overpowering, the flavour of the seafood still shone through with a little hit of garlic and chilli. The seafood was generous - pippies, mussels, prawns and the most tender calamari you could ever find. My friend's burger was well cooked and not ridiculous in size but still a good portion with lovely looking chips. Topped off with a lovely, cold sauvignon blanc and finished with good coffee this was a lovely way to spend the afternoon. The service was friendly and efficient. Food was fast to arrive and plates were cleared promptly. I would definitely go back."

"The Town Mouse - a local restaurant for the locals but has attracted outsiders from everywhere to sample their dishes of freshness, refinement and simplistic elegance! Run by some of the best chefs in Melbourne who have the skills to transcend humble ingredients to a level of blissful lightness ; this charming little place is worthy of a trip across the Yarra to lunch in Carlton ! Two of us ordered the Fried Peppers ; Butter Lettuce ; Black Angus Flank ; Pork Jowl , no drinks , all together came to $ 74 , not exactly cheap for a light lunch ! But the quality most certainly justifies the cost !!"

"Order three simple dishes on a Sunday night at 5.20pm. Coconut rice, spring rolls and stirfry vegies. It is now 6.50pm and here I still sit waiting for my food. I have called and been reassured that the food is on the way. How can you call 1 hour and 20 minutes an acceptable wait time?! (I was told it would be an hour) So here I sit hungry and infuriated."
