"Short walk from the train station chiba. we were a few weeks in chiba and went several times to hitsukiya. it is very easy to get vegan options there and it is all organic and local as much as possible. the service is very nice, and the restaurant is clean and the portions are good. for lunch they have vegan curry option with extra vegetables, veggie katsu or mushrooms as add-ons. the curry set comes with a good part of the delicious curry with organic seasonal vegetables, a side salad and a small tofu-thingy, it is creamy and tasty, it is a kind of mini dessert, although it is not too sweet but delicious. the curry itself is approx. 980 yen, and each add-on is about 200-250 yen, so the prices are good, and all this is 100% vegetable and says so on the menu. for dinner they have 2 types of nabe (hot pot) white and red, and other vegan options such as pizza, gratin and veggie katsu with salat. Although they serve some fish, they are very plant-based conscious, so they communicate it to them to be on the safe side, and enjoy their meal with trusting their vegan requests have been respected. the only thing I didn't like about hitsukiya was her music choice: american r"

"They need a car to reach here and it's quite difficult to find this place. they have their original lunch plate with many supplements and curry plates for lunch. I came there at 12:15 in the middle of the golden week and there were already 2 groups in front of me. waited 1 hours and their original midday plate was probably already out because of the lock in tokio and many people went outside tokio.) the curry we had was ¥1,400 and it was quite normal. it was coconut-based Thai-ish curry came with salad, selected vegetables and drink. but their original plate looks beautiful with many next-courts only for ¥ 1,500. while we waited for it, we had her soy milk bread, sense and chai soy latte and they were good! it's a bit over price, but a good place to come when they get around."
