"Good to find this in the centre near Portsmouth and Southsea station, 2 mins walk. Chinese fast food to eat in or go, freshly prepared. Friendly service- sort of choose your own items from 4 sections of the menu and then the chef prepares it,...usual chicken, prawns etc and then a good selection of veg, topped off with a sauce. Served in a US style carton box. Slightly too much sauce for my liking, but no big deal. Side orders of prawn crackers and spring rolls, other items too. Soft drinks. Nice for a quick bite, but not a relaxing Chinese restaurant of course."

"I am not a huge fan of take away food as I am a dedicated and passionate home cook. But I always use Spice fusion in my times of desperation and every time I have used them, the speed of delivery has been excellent and the range of choice from vegetable dishes to hearty meat dishes has been great and to top it all its fantastic and value for money."

"Not a good experience. The waiter was taking us to a table but then left us to prepare a bill. He then took us to a table and then said it was reserved. We had to wait some while before he took the order. He didn't tell us what the starter and main of the day was. When the food arrived he'd forgotten we asked for bread. The service is 8n essence amateur.. which might be OK except it's pricey. Heaven knows what it's like when there are more than 6 tables."

"Went in on the off chance after the theatre and we're lucky enough to get a table they took the trouble on a very busy night to seat us away from a noisy birthday celebration. The food was really good and plentiful, with an unusually wide selection of vegetarian and vegan options. No alcohol licence but a wide range of alcohol free wines, beers and mocktails! The service was lovely, attentive and friendly without being overwhelming. And at the end we were even offered a free drink to apologise for the noisy experience!! Will definitely return."

"Ordered a take away from here on Friday evening. The delivery time was 90 minutes so we collected. I ordered a prawn stir fry with Ginger and spring onion (and rice). I was pleasantly surprised with my food, it was absolutely delicious. The prawns were fresh as were the ingredients. The food here is oriental with modern spin and it didn't disappoint. This was one of the best Chinese dishes i have ever eaten in this area."

"The Hong Kong Teabar is under new ownership and the experience seems to have improved. At first I noticed changes to the dishes and thought that it was going to be a change for the worse but after going back a few times more I think it's actually better than it was before. The old owners seem to have plenty of issues with environmental health which was always a bit of a downer when the food seemed good. I spoke to the new proprietor soon after he took the business on and he seemed like a decent person. I will be continuing my weekly visit because I love the place. I took my visiting friend there and he used to live in Portsmouth. He said he'd walked past it many times without knowing how good the food was and claimed that his Kung Po Chicken with Singapore noodles was the best chinese food He'd ever eaten."
