"I thought that I would use this Bangladeshi takeaway as it is opened recently. The takeaway does all of the ‘usuals’ however there are dishes that I haven’t tried before. So I ordered the Modhu Lamb which is chunks of Lamb with honey and mint mixed with baby new potatoes in a sauce. Wow what a tasty dish it is, superb. The other dish that I’ve never had is Niramish which is fried mixed vegetables with herbs. Another tasty dish. I also had a Keema Nan and mushroom pilau rice. I thought that on a very busy Saturday evening that I would be waiting ages but the food was ready and brought out to me within 10 minutes, so very happy with the service. Anokha has all the ‘usuals’ but also authentic Bangladeshi dish’s. The service was very good, the food was superb and plentiful and the prices very reasonable."

"Went there for a family meal to celebrate my son 's birthday, there were 6 of us. I had 3 dishes from the a la carte menu and the rest of the family ordered the set meal for 5 people at £21.50 per person. Everything was OK until the main courses arrived for the set meal. The amount of food we got was pathetic one beef dish, one prawn dish, one chicken dish and 3 dishes of rice between 5 people. There were so few prawns that we basically got one each ! When the waitress came over we complained and were told that as they had given us large portions, this was OK. We complained again and they eventually came out with 3 more dishes, making it enough for the 5 people. We have been to this restaurant many times before and never had a problem like this they appear to be cutting down on the portions to save money (lots of vegetables not much meat) not happy when you are paying premium prices."
